Check out bmikarts.com for axle sprockets and hubs etc. Don't forget brakes too. :) I would go with #35 chain. Functional Artist on here sells a #35 sprocket that will fit your my1020 motor.

Nice summer day and dry roads today! Put on the 15T sprocket and she screamed all the way to 38mph on the dot! Maybe some loss of torque but not enough to notice. The motor did get much warmer though. Maybe 70ish degrees on the outside after multiple high speed runs.

Also considering going dual hub motors and turning her into a climbing monster. Just have to find some that fit.

Good to hear, I am going to use the 48v1800w setup with my mx. How much do Ford C batteries cost? I am looking at picking up a 48v leaf pack for $365 from a guy on the pprs fb page.

Picked one of these up a couple years ago and use it so much it is on its second set of batteries. So picked up a great deal on a brand new one for the family and going to upgrade my older one to make it more adult/camping friendly goal is enough torque to be able to climb some decent dirt...

Also take and post a ton of pictures when you go look at it! :) I did find one forum post where a guy said it was scary fast when he drove one.

If you went with a better controller in the future capable of higher amp output the 25ah batteries would be better. Price per /aH the 18ah batts are hard to beat.

how much room do you have? I would either go with 4x 18ah batteries if room is not an issue and you want a long ride time, or 4x 14ah (same size as 12ah and 4 for 99$ shipped on ebay) If room and weight is an issue then 2x 10ah 6S lipo's run in series for 50v.

Not an easy project. You are more or less going to need to build a frame with axle and then fit the pw body over it. You can use the ESC to power the little stock motors and add another 6v battery for 18v and 7.5mph. Not to say that what you want to do cant be done as a few people have here...

It is deff going to fun! And FA speaks the truth pick up some cheap SLA's to get everything Worked out before dropping the big money on batteries. I would also recommend running 4-6ga wire if you have it. Great deal here: 18ah 48volt for 95$...
