Weight and top speed determine the recommended brake. Mechanical brakes are very weak compared to even cheap hydraulics options.

Your yard is going to look horrible line mine soon. I've got 4" wide slicks on my smaller kart and they dig ruts like crazy. I ran 11" wide slicks on my Manco conversion and they did no damage. They also had really rounded edges though so I bet that also helped. You can see the tire difference...

You are correct. The BT connection is far more convenient than hardwire to a laptop. P.S. No chain on the motor when doing the initial setup.

You've got that in the bag. You're only limited by your controller (50 amps cont) otherwise your battery and motor are stout.

My battery was held in place with a strap as well. I built a frame that went around the bottom of the battery and the strap held it down. If the plate is that thick is should be fine. The one I watch a video on was thinner material but was purchased from ebay. How many volts is your pack?
