I will remove the governor next time i'm there - Can I just simply disconnect the governor arm from the throttle butterfly? I can't afford to buy new gaskets at the moment, :censored:. How would I link a cable (It's from a bicycle brake) to the butterfly on the carb? My governor linkages...

What are the consequences of removing/adjusting the governor? And would a stock exhaust be quieter for high rpm?

To get the kart running I need to either 1)keep the 340 and get some more springs and a chain, fix the governor problem 2) sell the 340 and get a Launtop LT200

Ok. Would I be best off with a 48tooth sprocket on the axle? It is 33 at the moment. remember there is a 2:1 redux

The gearing is 2:1 and then 14 tooth to a 33 tooth sprocket

The redux is part of the engine, it has a special/different sump cover with holes to lubricate the gears. I can't post closeup or any other photos as it's not kept at my house and my grandparents house is quite far away

Hey. I have a gx340 with a 2:1 reduction gearbox and I have just realised that the clutch will not engage due to the springs needing around 2000rpm, meaning the engine would need 4000. Does anyone know where to get some springs that engage at around 1000rpm in the UK? I have the Hilliard...
