    Post Your Favorite Redneck Photos

I didn't get a photo of this, but this weekend while touring Penn State, we stopped at a Sheetz (gas station) and my dad came up with a great "You might be a redneck if..." So, here we are parking to go to the bathroom and grab something to drink when the guy at the pump grabs the windshield...

    Clutch warms up, them smokes

Put a few drops of SAE30 (IIRC) motor oil on the bushing in the center. It should never smoke assuming there are no contaminants in there.

pit bike engine vs quad bike engine

From a minute's glance, the trade off is 15cc for a reverse gear. Both engines will be tougher to mount in a kart as they are rip offs of older Honda motors and have mount holes on top. I feel that it really comes down to preference over a bit of displacement or reverse.

    Auto Darkening welding helmets

My helmet will react to a strong flashlight IIRC. Let me go test. Yep! It darkened for the below flashlight. http://www.surefire.com/G2X-B-BK?utm_source=surefire&utm_medium=surefire&utm_campaign=G2XColors

    Planning my first build...

These are a shade 10 lens. My auto adjusting mask goes down to 9. These are more than sufficient for welding a kart. Once you get into higher amps, say 200+ish, you will need something a bit darker.

*facepalm* My math skills evaded me momentarily and stupidity flowed from the hole in my face.

    Identify My Engine

My general rule of thumb has been ≤5hp = 5/8", 5-8hp = 3/4", ≥8hp = 1". As you can see there's some overlap in the general ideas, especially once you get way up in the hp range you get some >1" shaft diameters.

mini monster truck go kart with atv parts

I'm going to take a WAG here and say there's no way in HE// that Bigfoot kart is worth half of what they're asking. It's probably a basic kart underneath with a body on it. I could very well be wrong though.

Firstly, check out the product under criticism. http://www.amazon.com/Wenger-16999-Giant-Swiss-Knife/dp/B001DZTJRQ/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top Now read some reviews. From my skimming, not a single purchaser has reviewed it...

    11/16 centrifugal clutch.

    3/4" = 12/16". You'll need to shim up a 5/8" clutch.

    Car Help

I can't speak for the car, although I wouldn't, personally, pick up an 11 year old American made car...period. Regardless of price. I like foreign makes (older American cars are well built, not so true now). Secondly, emission testing is done in the Pittsburgh area due to population density...
