Thanks, I saw the sticky about these. They're quite a bit out of my price range though.

I think I might just bore out a 5/8s cltuch or go for a jack shaft mounted one.

Could you not just make a shim for a 3/4" clutch?

I could, probably be easier to bore out a 5/8ths clutch though.

3/4" = 12/16". You'll need to shim up a 5/8" clutch.

5/8 = 10/16 so I'd have to bore it, not shim it. I'd need a 1/16 shim to fit a 3/4" clutch.

what kind of engine has a 11/16 shaft? are you sure its not 3/4?

It's a 1940s J.A.P 2S. 98cc, about 1.2HP and is side valve with rockers!

And yes, I'm sure it's 11/16. The English do weird things.
