    GX200 idle adjustment screw

Mine is a Honda carb. The cap is made of aluminum and I used my dremel to grind the stops off. I set the screw a 2 turns out but the engine still pops on decel. The carb has a #90 main jet and a 140 emulsion tube. I'll keep playing with it.

    GX200 idle adjustment screw

I need to richen the idle a little. There's a limiter on this screw, now is this just a cap that can be removed or will I have to do a little grinding with my dremel?

    Power products AH47 kart engine

$550 plus shipping. Those are nice engines but, I don't have quite that much to spend. Not yet anyway! I recieved the little AH47 and it arrived with a broken motor mount plus the engine is completely worn out. (Advertised as a running engine that just needed a teardown and inspection) I...

    Power products AH47 kart engine

That hole is where some of the needle bearings came out. I found some Power products info on the Sears site. It appears that some of the AH47 parts are still available through Sears. Here's the parts list and engine diagram...

    Power products AH47 kart engine

Russ, Keep on rambling, I enjoy what you have to say! Well, I looks like that motor will be going on the minibike. I ended up losing the minibike engine a few minutes ago. I believe the con rod let go. Looks like they don't handle the RPMs too well after all. My son is going to tear it down...

    Power products AH47 kart engine

Thanks Russ! I'm a sucker for these little engines! I don't have it in my possession yet. When I do, I'll get some pics along with the carb info. It's supposed to run. I'd like to take it apart and inspect it, maybe some new rings, etc. What do you guess the RPM would be?

Tecumseh 2 stroke, no idle circuit

I drilled a .062 hole the butterfly on the new carb. I bolted the carb on and was finallly able to get the idle down and now the mixture screw is adjusting properly. It revs up alot nicer too! :)

Tecumseh 2 stroke, no idle circuit

Still no luck figuring out the idle problem, used the propane and didn't find any leaks. So, I decided to remove the carb and compare it with the original. The non adjustable carb on the left has a hole in the butterfly and the new adjustable one doesn't. Do you think this might be my problem...

Tecumseh Snow King for scooter/bike engine

I just got finished putting one of those snowblower engines on a minibike. We just got it running this weekend. Check my threads for info. I used a stock adjustable carb. Here's the carb I used- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360064451118 I'm still having some problems...

Got it running, still have to work on the idle problem. It pulls my 220lbs around pretty good. Here's a few videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwrZ-_nC6dU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yPqg4ZW5aE

Tecumseh 2 stroke, no idle circuit

Thanks for the advice! Yep, it's piston port. I've never had this much trouble setting up a carb, but then this isn't a Holley or an AFB. I'll give it a try with the propane...

Tecumseh 2 stroke, no idle circuit

Well, I spent over an hour trying to get the carb adjusted and my son did quite a few runs up and down the street. I runs good on the top end but the low speed performance sucks. I still can't get the idle speed down low enough. The carb completely loses the signal and the engine dies when I try...

Tecumseh 2 stroke, no idle circuit

Your right, the float level was spot on. Got it running a little better now. I found the the fuel tank wasn't vented, so I drilled a tiny hole in the fuel cap. Then I played with the hi speed screw with the back wheel off the ground like you recommended. The plug is a nice light brown. The low...
