    Should the inside of by drive pully look like this lmao...:mad2: another indicator of bad gearing? I got the new sprocket but cant put it on because the rod that holds my brake band on is right in front of it barely with enough room for the 36 tooth sprocket that's on it....

    Yeah it runs all the way up with the wheels off the ground but never actually checked it out while I was on it. im changing my gearing for sure. I'm not sure about elongation of the plate holes I assume your talking about lol

    Its funny that you should mention overdrive because I was just riding the kart today and when it's speed is topped out, I noticed that the belt is not even riding up to the middle of the drive pully..     Alright well yeah it shows the 203589A belt like you've been saying lol, I've ordered every belt but that one. But I figure I need to get my gearing a lot higher before I shred any belt I do get. Anyone on here ever order from gokartsupply.com ?

    Yeah its gonna be hard getting a new axle sprocket(bigger) to fit on my kart but it is what has to be done, i believe that is my main problem. I guess i just had a hard time believing that a 100% factory(stock) setup would have terrible gearing. But then again, knowing that it is 15~ years old...

    think y'all can provide any help with any tips or tricks on how to align the two pulleys besides eyeballing. Tried a fuller but the strong side wont fit in the pullys to get an accurate alignment. And any tips on how to change my able sprocket that has a welded on drum?

    Well I guess my belt keeps shredding because of misalignment still, i thiught I adjusted it pretty good, but the new belt only lasted about 25 mins before throwing belt dust everywhere. And I guess I'll have to get a new sprocket to get a better gear ratio, I think mines like 3.6:1. Anyone know...

    Well before doing all my research, I asked the people at GoPowerSports for help finding my belt and they recommended the wrong belt, then after my purchase tolled tolled me a different belt. Back to question above, would a tight belt cause the drive pully to get really really hot?

    If the belt is too tight, will that cause the belt to shred and make the drive pully really hot? The blast led website which i got my torque converter from recommends the 725 belt I have the belt that's .5" smaller. They are both asymmetrical.

    It says its for a hammerhead 80T which I do not have. But the belt instructions show that its for a 30 series which is asymmetrical and the belt is asymmetrical.     No mine is a knockoff tav 30 series and they recommended belt #669 and #725 which I thought was odd because ive never seen those numbers on any forums

    Yeah i just ordered a belt from GoPowerSports and two different people gave me two different belt sizes... and one guy said they should both work yet there is a .5" difference in belt size, that sound like a bunch of carp or, nah?
