Rims / Tires for Spider Arachnid

Based on those measurements, you should be able to use whichever you like. The rear of my frame is 24"and I have a 40" steel axle. My rear tires are 20x10-8 with the 4 on 4 and drum brake (that mounts on the outside of the frame). With a disk brake (that you can move it if you have to toward the...

    Ground up build

I'm so jealous of y'all. I wish I could find a deal on a welder and had the knowledge/skills to pull something off like this. I'd love to create a masterpiece.

    Frequent carb cleaning

What kind of gas are you using? Have you replaced the filter and lines recently?

    Diesel Kart Build

You could adjust the throttle but the amount would depend on the rpm that your torque converter is engaged. Otherwise as soon as you start it, it will try to go wether you're in it or not lol

    Go Kart building

Yes definitely! Just holler at me if I can help. I'd say most of that weight will be engine so if you found that, it'd help quite a bit if you just needed other smaller stuff. Happy hunting!

    Go Kart building

Yeah it definitely runs. I put a new carb, new spark plug, and new filter on it. It's also had a new oil change but I'd have to drain that out to ship it. I've also got a brand new ignition coil for it just in case you ever need it but the one on it is working fine. I have a new backplate for it...

    Go Kart building

Some pieces you'll probably have to buy like your axle sprocket and shocks. I have piles of used parts if you're interested. I don't know where you live tho so I can't give info on shipping cost. If you wanted a 6.5hp Tecumseh, 4-12" shocks, and either a 60T or 54T axle sprocket, I'd probably...

    Husqvarna two stroke

Bro...that piston tho! Sorry man. That's a lot of wear. It looks like it was ran with incorrect mix. Personally I don't run anything with ethanol in it (not even my truck). That stuff wears everything out faster and tends to clog lines and filters. Hopefully you'll be able to find another deal...

Howdy! Looking forward to seeing it and getting more details. Keep us posted.

Rims / Tires for Spider Arachnid

What's your axle size? Length? Rear frame width measurement? What style of brakes are you using? All this will come into play. You basically want to leave space for the tire to move freely without hitting anything else. Do you have any pics of the rear of your kart? Have you decided to go with...

    hey guys new here

Just take the old one off. If there's not a place to connect the new easily, you can cut the wire and splice it to the old wire. Just use a good connector and preferably a water-proof sheath over it (the kind that you slightly heat up to seal). Should work just fine.

Need info/help with used kart work

When you say the wheels wobble, do you mean up and down or side to side? I'd make sure the tires are aired up properly and the nuts are tight on the ends and test again. Prop it up on blocks and check that way. You should be able to see if it's a bent axle or a loose axle clamp. You don't really...

    Making an electric go kart

Here are some pics of mine before I really started working on it. The yellow piece is a right A arm. As you can see, they're both held in the center with a large bolt (what I call a pivot point). This is an example of a single A arm design. Duel A-arm design uses 2 A-arms on each side allowing...

    Making an electric go kart

I see your trying to go with the rack n pinion setup but I'm not seeing where/how your looking to connect your A arms to the frame based on the design. The connectors that you're talking about are what goes into the spindle. The A arms connect to the frame (giving an up and down motion) and the...

    Engine/TAV decision

So I've been having some trouble finding a 420cc predator engine. I also have some concerns. 1) the engine with electric start is going to run around $400 but then the torque converter will be around $200 and more than likely require me to get another mounted jackshaft that'll be another $50...

    Engine/TAV decision

So I'm trying to decide on an engine and TAV to go onto my 3203 yerf dog and I'm a bit worried about the weight and the fact that we live on a large hill. The original was a 6.5 hp tecumseh and I had to floor it with my daughter and I in it to get up the hill (I weigh over 200lbs and my daughter...

    2 seater Frame size

I really like that seat! Especially since it has some side support too. Not a bad price either! If I run into any trouble fabricating mine, I might just go that route too lol. I just had my compressor handy, the old foam looked ok, and found some cheap pleather so thought I'd just tack it to the...

    2 seater Frame size

So since there are only 2 holes for the T-nuts to go for mounting, I cut the wood slightly larger so that the frame would support the seat on all 4 sides. There's a weldment on the back for connecting seatbelts. This one is considered a "high back" with a slight lean backward so it doesn't feel...

Axle question just to make sure

Those are very nice! I do have some new seat belts ready to install but they're not as nice as yours. I really like your kart too! I've been mentally betting myself how long it'll be before I have to replace my A arms again. I wish I had a way to weld a duel A arm front end on like a spider box...

    2 seater Frame size

So the wood that I'm mounting would probably be a better measurement. It's 32-1/2" x 15" with rounded corners. It fits me and my 6 yr old daughter good but would be tight for 2 adults. I'll get you some better measurements and pictures in the daylight tomorrow (I just leave everything outside...
