Idle issue on clone with governor

I'm having issues getting my clone to idle down low enough to disengage the clutch. I've searched and it seems the problem is caused by the governor. I also confirmed this myself by moving the governor arm back and forth but I'm not sure how to fix it. I can get the engine to idle down just...

    go cart/snow cart

We don't have much of a need for snow blowers in Texas so I guess I wasn't thinking about the size of the tracks. I was just going off of what I know and that's the tracks for snowmobiles so..............my bad. :)

    go cart/snow cart

You need to set up dual brakes on the rear tracks just like on a tractor or tank, this would also help with the steering. Most tractors acutally have two pedals next to eachother to control the rear braking but that won't be as easy to set up on a kart. Maybe hand controls mounted on the...

Transferring chain guard to 6.5 clone.

Ok I must confess, I’m horrible when it comes to figuring out bolt sizes. It’s just something I’ve never needed to learn or maybe it’s because I don’t work with then enough. Anyway, I’m trying to transfer the chain guard from my old Tecumseh engine to my 6.5hp clone and I can’t seem to figure...

    Briggs Problem. HELP!!!

Replace the diaphragm before you do anythin else. It will take less then 15 minutes and cost you under $5. It cleared my issue right up and I was at the point I was going to throw it in a lake.

    Electric Barstool Racer

The speed will depend on the gearing and the overall weight of the kart and the driver. If you simply hook up an on/off switch you will have just that. Either all off or all on and no way to control the speed. Not the best idea when your dealing with motorized objects.

    Electric Barstool Racer

You need a speed controller that can handle 24 volts. You can over volt the moter but at 48 volts it might not last that long. However, you can't over volt the controller at all or you will burn it up. Mist guys only over volt a moter by 12 volts

    sprocket on most clutches

I guess that could be it but I figured the same could be done during the stamping process and why does it need teeth, wouldn’t a flat washer style brace work the same? Might be one of those things that we will never know the true answer to. Like Area 51 or if Elvis is truly dead. :)

    sprocket on most clutches

Why are sprocket on most clutches doubled? The ones I have and seen in pictures seem to have the sprocket that you attach the chain to and then also one that is right next to the clutch housing…WHY? Might not even be two separate sprockets, it might just be the way the sprocket is made but I...
