    using riding mower wheels

    I found a 13x5 1-piece wheel and tire from harbor freight for $12.00 each. Not a bad price and I might be able to swap out the bearings. If I can't then I won't buy them.

    using riding mower wheels

    I'm not sure if some of you missed it or just making sure everyone understands but "I understand that low speed bearings are crap and I don't have a problem replacing them with better ones" I'm also not keeping the kart so I don't care much about speed or reaction time. Just need to replace the...

    using riding mower wheels

    This was my second concern. I figured the bushing wouldn’t have as large OD as a bearing. This is for the kart I’m going to sell so I’m not looking for longevity but I don’t want a potential buyer to break his/her neck on a test drive either.

    It can cause you to crack the hub, wheel fall off, wheel to lock up...ETC. Nothing pretty

    As long as I can knock either out and replace them with a better bearing, I'll be happy.

    using riding mower wheels

    Staying under 50 won't be a problem but I was worried about them only having bushings. I've seen a few online that "look" like low speed bearings (could be replaced). Guess it's just going to depend on what I find. Just thinking this might be a cheaper option on a yard kart then buying new.

    I did a quick search but didn't find much on the subject so I thought I would ask. Is it possible to use the front wheels of a riding more on the front of a kart?

    Throttle connection on B&S 163212

    Then it’s obviously not working correctly. I’ll try and post up some pictures this weekend but It’s hard to see because of the tank and everything. I’m not about to tear mine down again as it’s not a fun process getting everything connected correctly. Just so you know, this is how the throttle...

    Throttle connection on B&S 163212

    Yes, that's the idle screw. You need to turn it in to increase the idle speed and out to decrease tue idle speed. I assume you need to increase the idle speed based on the info you've provided. You also need to make sure you have the linkage for the governor hooked up correctly.

    Throttle connection on B&S 163212

    The screw in red is NOT the idle screw. The screw you see right about it is. Do you still have the rod in blue? That is part of what makes the governor work correctly. You will need to reinstall it.

    How to set idle on Greyhound

    If it's a new clone, you might find that the idle screw has a black cap. Once you remove the cap, you will see that it's just a standard philips head. They are tricky that way.

    Throttle connection on B&S 163212

    You have the spring connected wrong and it's also stretched out (I'm not even sure it's needed). It also looks like you are missing your idle screw which would explain why you can't keep it running unless you use the string. Look at this picture for a better view and to see a few more...

    5 hp Briggs Funpower will not idle!

    What about the screw that is missing from the side of the carb? I circled it in white for you. You also have a spring that hooks up to the governor linkage on the backside of the gas tank, do you have it too?

    5 hp Briggs Funpower will not idle!

    You also have a nut on the throttle linkage facing the rear of the engine that you can adjust the idle with. It opens the throttle more as you screw it in, have you tried it? (looks like it might just replace the idle screw you have in your first picture. You can see it in this picture under...

    5 hp Briggs Funpower will not idle!

    I agree with Jeremy, it's less then $5 and trust me, it might be worth every penny. I have the same style engine and had problems keeping it running. Everyone told me to replace the diaphragm. Well after replacing everything else and no change I decided to listen to what was being said. Hell it...

    After looking at it some more I was wondering the same thing. Might give it a try and see if I can clean it up a little. It's not like I'm going to make it any worse. LOL

    help locating parts

    I'm going to sell the kart once it's back up and going. The wheels you posted are 2 piece and I'd like to stay with something that is close to what came on it from Murray if possible. If I was keeping it, the ones you pointed out would be great. Plus I can get a new tire for about $10 more then...
