    Problem starting Predator 212. Help!

https://youtu.be/pj9wFn9b9wE Ok, I boiled it in lemon oil, poked through every hole on it and blew it dry with compressed air. This is what I'm getting now.

    Problem starting Predator 212. Help!

Would it be best to soak it over night? I mean I've gone through 2 cans of carb spray and used a few bread tie twisties to really get inside of every whole. But I know how easy it is to miss things when dealing with carbs.

    Problem starting Predator 212. Help!

What's up, guys? I replaced an old engine with an out of the box predator 212 last year. Eventually the the double flange hub broke and I had a hard time finding one. Anyways, it stayed out in the weather for a few months with gas still in it. I thought I had put it away, but I was wrong, haha...

    More take off?

I just switched for 13" tires to 15" tires and the take off dropped a lot. I've never counted the size of the drive sprocket on my kart, but the engine sprocket is 12 teeth. In theory, if I put a bigger drive sprocket on it, it'll have better acceleration, right? I just need something that...

    Predator 212 governor springs?

Thank you so much, man. I tried everywhere locally to just fine the small spring. I tried my work place, lowes, ace hardware, advance auto, tractor supply, and even hobby lobby. No one had anything even close. I was pissed! I just made a carb linkage without the gov hooked up. I'll roll around...

    Predator 212 governor springs?

Maaaaan, I know. I was going to remove just the governor linkage, but decided agaisnt it. I went put everything back together, and the spring snapped and I some how lost the dang rod. I tried to just do it again without the governor linkage, but the throttle arm only moves about an inch...

    Predator 212 governor springs?

Does anyone know if and where I could get the 2 springs and rod that go from the governor to the carb? The tiny spring somehow broke and the rod.....well, I guess I lost it :\ I still have the thicker spring, though.

    Got my 212 yesterday :)

Had to drive to Macon, but I got it. Was a nice little trip, though. Stopped at the new Guitar Center and was impressed :) Anyways, is it just me or is the 212 a little slow? Should I take the governor out? I should probably get a better flywheel and rod to handle the higher rpms, right? And...

Newb question about the 212 engine.

The mounting dimensions are 6.40" L x 2.95" W - 3.17" W. Is the 3.17" from top to bottom bolt, 2.95" across from two bolts, and then 6.40" diagonally? Trying to find out if it'll mount on my kart today.
