Does anyone know if and where I could get the 2 springs and rod that go from the governor to the carb? The tiny spring somehow broke and the rod.....well, I guess I lost it :\ I still have the thicker spring, though.

How the heck did you manage that? You only got the dang thing yesterday...

Maaaaan, I know. I was going to remove just the governor linkage, but decided agaisnt it. I went put everything back together, and the spring snapped and I some how lost the dang rod.

I tried to just do it again without the governor linkage, but the throttle arm only moves about an inch 1/2 when opening and closing. That didn't seem right, so now I'm lost :\

Well, here's a set; you could probably find others locally but, I'm not exactly local...

If you want to remove the governor, you need to remove the governor, not just disconnect it...

Due to the small size of the butterfly plate, there's very little movement needed to go from idle to WOT. There are a few ways to redirect the linkage from the carb to the throttle control plate, here's one example

Edit: That's the vid I used as a guide for the setup in the link above

Thank you so much, man. I tried everywhere locally to just fine the small spring. I tried my work place, lowes, ace hardware, advance auto, tractor supply, and even hobby lobby. No one had anything even close. I was pissed!

I just made a carb linkage without the gov hooked up. I'll roll around at 1/4 throttle until those springs come.

Thanks again, man. I owe you one!
