I think you hooked up something wrong.
Those speed numbers dont sound right.
What do you think?

His POS kart couldn't go 50 on it's best day. ON GRASS? Give me a break! AT HALF THROTTLE?

Obviously..."100 mph with no load" means it has to be calibrated....and you couldn't set a stem watch properly! I CALL BS.

and calibration? how do i calibrate a plug-and-play bicycle speedometer? there is no menu.
i guess i'll have to go next to a car and see what they say about the speed.

Not Possible for your kart AS IS today to do 50mph.

So a 6:1 ratio does 30.
What would a 4:1 ratio do ?
and with 18pound springs ?
and a bigger carb that give the engine more fuel and air?
someones wrong here. and jealous.

There should be, Some bikes have 18" tires others up to 26"+
It has to be calibrated or set to bike/kart tire size.
What model Speedo did you get.?

4:1? Burn Clutches!

I'll stick with my two seater kart.(twice as many as you)...foot throttle, brakes, and roll cage....and still pick it up just as far as you can yours with one hand.

Nothing but BS and lies from you.

The one that tells him he's going 20 mph at idle!

(Just when you thought he couldn't make a bigger idiot out of himself! )

Well, i need brakes cause when i idle I am moving.
i know i should just adjust the idle screw. maybe later.

20mph idle gives me enough time to plan the kill switch and coast into the garage. ..and use the lawnmower tire as a stopper if i need to. lol, you shouldve heard the time i ran into the toolbox like a classic comedy you can just hear it.

I would leave it as is and tell everyone I knew that according to my new speedometer my go kart goes 100 mph. And to top it all off you would not be lying this time.

and i'm surprised gorilla

had it legit 50 under load at mid RPM. ]

Well...I'll leave the "legit" math up to to someone who wants to do it....but taking the fact it's based on a magnet that's calibrated for a bicycle rim...(that's just a couple of inches less than the tire size....say 24" just for giggles.)

And he is running a 6" rim....(biggest possible diameter he can put a magnet) means all his readings must be divided by 4!

25 mph freewheeling....13mph "legit"....I'm impressed!

OOPS...My bad...by revolutions and tire size...so...just in my head and rounding off 26.5×3 =@78... 15×3= 45...78÷45= nearly 1/2.... so 50...is MAYBE 27?

I'd be scared to drive that POS that fast too.....
