i've changed my mind for now about a car. i could just build a Kar for a ton of money cheaper.

Remember my engine not starting?? Well it was the pilot jet. It needed drilling. Now no fuel problem.

Ummmm....you just topped yourself!

Parts list addition:
Engine:
- high flow camshaft .290 lift, 246 duration, 104LSA.
+ 6degree timing key +26pound springs

Air:
-gx390 carburetor - and Adaptor

Fuel:
- quart of 30% nitro blend to experiment with.(comes with 8% oil, i will add more for an octane booster)

Steering: Fixed!
Chassis Support: Welded strong.

I still don't understand why you don't just stop with the upgrades and get the engine working properly with what you have???? Is it just me or does everyone else think that this is foolish??

So what would be wrong with it? i've had the engine only run rich at times as if it hated air to burn.

anyways:

Can you guess which carb is stock ? i put the old butterfly over the new one to compare.



First thoughts of the gx390 carb was WOW! Much more flow than i thought it would have.

GX390 carb installed.


something i wasnt told about was how to install it(it was like a puzzle piece) and that a new air induction kit is required. oh, and look at that shiny looking brass piece of N.O.S. :D err i mean Fuel pump! but i mean it is basically directly located in the middle of the air stream so...yeah.
