Good to see you back Alex. We missed you....(I think that is what we are supposed to say) :D
hehe.. ;)

Anyway, one of Alex's favorite pastimes is lining his little cars up end to end....He takes great care to get them in a very straight line. Sometimes, he will start with the smallest, then work up to the largest, other times the largest to smallest....and sometimes, just mixes them up. ...
You sure?
I bet he follows a pattern more often than you'd think.
... can be anything really; like hue, or colors in all variety of patterns, age (he does know what car he got first and what's his newest addition if toycars are "important" enough for him.. maybe even from whom he got it)
height, number of shiny bits etc.
if you can, take a pic or two whenever you think they're just "mixed up".. after a while compare against older line ups to check if there's a repetition.

Got some new seeds in the mail today. A beefsteak tomato that is supposed to produce 2-4 lb. fruits and a paste tomato that produces 2 lb. fruits. And a hybrid artichoke. Gotta get these started ASAP.

Now...I save seeds, (when they aren't hybrid) and I literally have two shoeboxes full of seeds....(most are just leftover purchased seeds...because I try so many different varieties, and I can only use so many).

Soooo....anyone who gardens...(or might want to try a few plants)....PM me and tell me what you want to grow....and if I can't at least share the benefit of my 30+ years of variety testing....I might also have some extra seed I can mail you.

I will have some please. Don't send the pigeon, because he will probably eat the mail

OHH SEEDS. are you sure its legal to send them by mail... I mean, wont the dogs sniff it out?

in all seriousness. you got anything wild garlic, wild onion, quinoa, small spieces of tomato [you know the kind that pack the REAL flavor] or waterMELOOON? what about any tobacco seeds unlikely but figured I'd ask.

All my stuff died this past year because I didn't take very good care of it.. I normally start by seed with all my stuff, expect for strawberry's. I already have generic run of the mill store bought herbs germinating. Planting doesn't start until next month so this is the perfect time to get some new seeds. I was just gonna head to the garden center.. idk where else i'd get seeds from anyway, I've gotten wild carrots through mail before and flax, but both died before they could seed again... so I never got a second crop.

Superbowl munchies

Soooo...for the SuperBowl...I'm making some fried green beans:

One can of drained whole green beans.....

Half and half....Louisiana brand beer batter and all purpose flour....(put in a quart ziplock, beans added....and shaken....not ...stirred....

Those just get the extra flour knocked off and fried in hot Canola.

Soooo...the next step is really simple....drain and serve with Ranch dressing.....

UMMMM.....Well....I added some Kraft horseradish sauce, smoked paprika, a little Worcestershire sauce, and some salad dressing.....(not necessary, but hey....it's the Superbowl)....gotta kick it up a notch!

Soooo.....I was down to the White Settlement Civic Center (Wal-Mart) tha other day, and I seen some Coleman brand gokarts....they are reducing them down right now to about $700.....(I'm only $695 short.....sooooo....)

They seem like some really nice karts, (although I only glanced at the box)...

196cc engine, independent suspension, two seater, rollcage, TC, electric start, 31mph. (Originally right at a grand. )

Dadgum pets!

I just took the new wild full grown ratsnake out for a visit....and found the rat I tried to feed it a month ago....

(I knew it didn't eat it when flies started hatching in it's cage)....little boogers....I don't know why they do that...(hide their food.)

This wasn't a small rat either .... it was a good 6" long without the tail and probably weighed a quarter pound !!!!

And you hadn't noticed the smell??

I did....but didn't really trace it down....see....not only do the snake cages smell a bit sometimes, but so do my feet and unwashed dishes.... it wasn't very strong...because their cages are lined with aspen bedding....and this snake had buried it....so...it was out of sight ,out of mind, and dadgum near out of smell....

This might explain your fondness for spicy food: if you have no sense of smell or taste, just keep adding heat until you do. ...

well they used to wear eye patches because they couldn't bring a burning candle or alike under deck.. (gunpowder and such)

And since eyes need a long time to adjust to darkness (as opposed to light) it helped having one eye in pitch balck before getting new ammunition ..

with electric lights things changed ;)

You are soooooo....close 'sid....but the answer is much more simpler and practical....

When the Captain....(and it wasn't just pirates....but pretty much all captains ) came on deck....they would put an eye patch on.....

Now ....when they returned below deck....(in the dark) ....they would switch the eyepatch from one eye to the other.....

The one that had been under the eyepatch....was accustomed to being in the dark....sooo...he could immediately see in the darker quarters.

Pretty cool ....huh?

Played in a pool tournament last night....probably should have won....

But at 1:30 am....I was secretly and subconsciously wanting to lose....

I had run the table down to two INCREDIBLY easy shots to win....AND GOT TWO CHANCES!!!!!

I was borrowing quarters to stay in....it was past this old man's bedtime....and I was.....quite simply....ready to call it a night.

While I was there...there was a gal singing Karaoke....and WOW! she could sing the National Athem at the Superbowl and it would go down in the history books.

She was that good....perfect pitch...incredible range...and impeccable timing...in short: a performance that couldn't be topped by any established superstar I know of....(and I don't hand out musical endorsement out of hand
...as far as I'm concerned....the whole industry is full of hacks that use technology to compensate for their lack of ability....)

EDIT: BTW: I don't even know what top prize was....but people take that crap way to seriously....There were several people with their 2! custom cues....(one to break and one to shoot with) ....in high dollar cases...wearing shooting gloves? ??? When the heel did that start????

My toughest competition was a guy that was crippled on his right side....he shot one handed....(which kinda made me wonder....even though his right hand was a mangled mess...it should still be easier to use it as a rest...than hold a cue in air)!

I figure that he shoots that way for psychological advantage....and who am I to argue...I never touched my stick when we played....he broke and ran the table....but he scratched on the eight....(Hey buddy....maybe you should use two hands? )
