If your fine with paying $75 for some pipe, springs and a filter then its a good idea. IMO it CAN be made cheaper but it is a good kit.

I think the kit is not bad...I made a custom intake out of pvc and an air filter...(of course eventually I am going to make it in metal, its just rough design for now...) But if your welding skills aren't great and you have the cash thats cool...

:worried2: You might not be having any problems since its aspirated fuel but check the PVC every so often. We needed a temp fuel tank to run an engine in a cradle. We had plenty of 6" sch40 and caps around so we slapped one together. The fuel was cloudy and the inside was slimy when we drained it so we moved on to an old scuba tank... Just a heads up…

thanks...ill be sure to watch out for it. so far the worst thing that has happened was the pvc started melting on the inside from lack of air...it started to overheat A TON...

lil update... I moved the seat back, moved the side rails down and took off the engine mount so I can reposition it further back.

mounted up the seat, tires, and did an adjustment on the front tires

the kart frame is kinda bent pisses me off...but where do yall get your tubing and metal from will be starting to weld me up a new frame so this doesn't happen again and reiforce the rear a bit

will finish the kart today just have to use the last bit of metal that i have to make the engine mount, goto ace to get chain and solid tube to mount brakes, and figure out how the mount the throttle in a better place since then engine moved.

Are you not installing the live axel now? If your frame is tweaked I find that the best solution is brute force and ignorance, lol. Ratchet strap that thing to a tree/telephone pole and start yanking.

sounds like fun...I would go to places like home depot and check for metal strips or tubes. last time I went there for some, they had a good supply of hollow tubes and pipes...

good luck with the new or semi new chassis

I am almost finished putting the kart back together.... will post up pics later when done....got the brake on, steering wheel on, engine mount welded and engine up....i put a new chain on cause the other wouldn't reach that far back on the kart

all I have left is throttle and kill switch and I can go ride in the snow

How much further back did you move the rear axel? Did it steer like crap before you modded the frame?

it did steer like crap before a lil worse but not much....i had to weld the nut on the end of the bolt on the ends on the steering column or it wouldn't have enough room for travel
