As long as it passes inspection its all good.
next year im going to be at a trade school taking welding so maybe rust problems wont be such an issue!
Are you going to an actual independent trade school or is it a program through your school? My high school doesn't have many shop classes so they have an ROP program for an elective off campus. Do you have something like that?
yeah id have to go check it out.... its probably in walking distance from my house.
if i got it i could see plans of maybe a 6-8 inch lift and tires around 36-40 inches
(needs new tires anyways hahaha)
im fine with doing lots of work to get it running.
kid down the street got a ranger for 1500 and it runs perfect
i dont like the look of the new body style though. and id like to get it old enough so i can avoid all the computer crap they stuff in now
its a actual trade school. ill be in the shop almost all day long. my school has an auto class... for one out of 8 periods a day for half the year, i took it. thats it.
hmmm... this is in my town. and its the exact amount of money i have.

The years you're looking at still have too much computer crap
I hope you're planning on haggling a bit. Offer him $900 and he might come back with $1000. Then you got $200 extra for when something needs replacing.
And remember: Just when it seems to be running perfect, something's gonna break. Keep a nice padding of cash in your bank account for parts.

I gutted mine and ran a pipe straight through.
staight pipes are illegal in California, and without a converter, you wont pass the stupid emissions tests. Diesals run stacks no problem here, but you cant do it with an unleaded truck.
