make sure to have some kind of skid plate under the trans dont want that thing getting torn off or dented. :roflol:

for sure atleast a skid plate for the transfer case, i would think the trans would be ok but probly couldn't hurt to make bolt on skids for both of them.

made some progress on the 2nd transmission, its most the way mounted. the rear mount is done for now although im pretty sure ill be adding more to it. the front trans mount will be made tomorrow. heres what i got so far...

i was checking out different ways to mount the t case tonight and finally decided on how its going, will have it mounted hopefully tomorrow but i will be cutting some of the floor to get it where i want it and it will literally be right up against the drivers seat, but there will be a piece of sheet metal over both transmissions and the t case so ill be somewhat protected from scattered parts if the drivetrain were ever to fail.

What are you using on the Sami tranny's input shaft to couple it to the bike tranny? I see a U-joint on there, but how did you fit it? I'm betting the bore/splines wouldn't match.

took the slip yoke out of the legend trucks original driveshaft, drilled out the center of the slip shaft to fit over the sami transmissions input shaft and welded it up.

thanks, most my life ive been a ground crew worker for my fathers tree service, running saws, skid loaders and various heavy equipment. but ive always loved working with steel and welding, ive been to some schooling for a few different types of welding. but fabricating has always been a hobby of mine. ive worked doing production welding at musco sports lighting for a while but ive been welding and fabricating at a small company called grisham industries for the last 6 months or so, but am currently going through the hiring process to be a production spray welder for john deere.

sorry for the short story....
