I’m just hitting it with a hammer and a screwdriver. Not budging
Sorry I’ve been out working with my live axle.. umm I can’t tell if it’s a shadow but the hole in the hanger is not bigger then the live axle bearing itself. it looks like the back 3 hole flangette is still on the bearing? Tap the flangette Off the back of each bearing. don’t try to move the bearing on the axle itself. I had to sledge mine off and buy new.I’m just hitting it with a hammer and a screwdriver. Not budging

I ran outta light a few hours ago, tomorrow I should have a little more time. I had it upside down so falling out wasn't an issue. Thanks so much, it really means a lot to have all this help. Things wouldn't be moving nearly as fast without you.If these are still on any side of either bearing whack them off the bearing. be carful if they pop off the axle might slide and wanna drop out unexpectedly. Do you have the inside and outside flangette on both flangette hangers off? If so that axle should of fell right out. you can watch cars and cameras 50$ live axle swap and get a good idea on those flangettes and the one guy even goes into a bit of a deeper explanation of how they hold the bearings.I ran outta light a few hours ago, tomorrow I should have a little more time. The odd thing here is somebody (with no care for details) has taken it apart before and put back together. Both side's flangettes are wheel side (one fell off, the inner is stuck) and the right side of the hangers had locknuts, the other serrated flange nuts.Do you have the inside and outside flangette on both flangette hangers off? BUT I’m guessing now your dilemma is that both flangettes are mounted tire side on each hanger and only one flangette from each hanger will come off... so me telling you to not move the bearings is useless as you have to move at least one of those bearings for that axle to come out... hmmmm ya know I hate to bring actual bad news but one of those bearings might get replaced after it goes through whatever it takes to get it off the axle.The odd thing here is somebody (with no care for details) has taken it apart before and put back together. Edit. Watched part of C&C video, its set up like theirs, both flangettes on the side of the wheel. outer ones fell off, inner one are stuck.


That's fine. I'll probably end up getting new bearings, these are rusty and I want absolutely no rust on this thing. Yeah having them both on a single side didn't give me the peaceful, easy feeling. A big hammer and a block of wood incoming. I'll let you know when I do something.Absolutely do not listen to the parts kid! Flanges need to be on both sides of the bearing. That is designed to work like that and load the bearing properly, not to mention proper bearing and axle retention to the kart!

Maybe you think I said to use only one flange per bearing? Onve you put the axle in the hangers the bearings would not be retained? I should have worded it better I guess? Once he has two Bearings on the axle and two flangettes squeezing each bearing just bolt one set of flangettes to tire side and one set of flangettes not.
