Describe your drilling process. Did you use cutting fluid? Drill press or hand drill?
What is the material of the weights?
Just ran a drywall screw thru the middle into some wood to anchor it down and used some kind of blue gun lube. Hand drilling the finest steel that China has to offer, thats a highly satifying feeling. Anyone know what Im talking about?

The bit should go through it as if it were slightly harder than wood! Of course, if your bits are Chinese as well, then it's an even draw as to who wins.

Just finished watching this last night and was for me, one of those movies you’d heard good things about but had never seen. Catch-22. A heavily edited for TV and 4:3 ratio’ed one came up in my Youtoob feed but that’s no bueno. A good antiwar movie but at the same time an absurdity. All those B-25s are real and functional and sound great. I thought it was supposed to be set in the 'Nam war....

*PG-13 or thereabouts

Hand drilling the finest steel that China has to offer,

I’m with Wicked Daddy. Was wondering if it was some hardened tool steel to be breaking all those bits, but the drill bits were probably made of the same Chinesium/cheapest steel available. :sneaky: Like trying to slice a stick of butter with a knife made of butter.

Had a guy today stop me and wanted to chat while I was working.
I usually will be cordial and answer a few questions.

What cha measuring he says.

I reply the world. Doing a job down the street, getting myself situated in the neighborhood.

He says is that your measuring stick as he points to my GPS pole.

I said yeah, im connected to satellites.

He looks in my other hand and sees the shovel. And said what's the shovel for.

I said digging holes.

A look of extreme confusion on his face.

I said "literally, just digging holes"
Have a good day as i walked off.

I have found that over the last few weeks, I need to wear compression socks throughout the day, to prevent heel and foot pain. Being on concrete floors for hours at a time, has really hurt my feet. I thought it was front getting them caught between the inground lifts and the body panels. Nope, just standing all day. Going to look into arch support as well to see if that will speed up recovery.

The ABCs of work is, Always Be Comfortable. Kind of hard to be, when your feet are sore. I'm at the point (nearly 34 now), where rolling out of bed and putting weight on my feet, is probably a solid 8 out of 10 on the pain scale. I have to limp to the living room. Soon as I get the compression socks on, pain is gone within minutes.

Get these arch support insoles: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081TN2X96?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1&psc=1

I had plantar fasciitis in both feet. As you describe, getting out of bed was torture. I went to "The Good Feet" store that specializes and they wanted $400 for a plastic insert that was probably $.25 from China. Total rip-off aimed at desperate people. I went to a podiatrist and he sold the above inserts in his office. I stuck a pair in my shoes while in his office and I felt the difference immediately. 2 days of wearing them and the PF was gone and has never returned - that was 10 years ago. I have them in all my shoes.

I had contemplated going to The Good Feet store in Lincoln, didn't know they wanted that kind of money for them. Glad I haven't gone. That's more than double what I pay for work boots yearly.

Another great shoe tip:

The below shoe is an Avia, sold at Wal-Mart for $30 and often on sale for less. It is all leather and very well made. However, the insole is basically flat - no support. I discovered this shoe while in a unusual situation, was barefoot, and needed a pair of shoes ASAP. That said, it is now my comfort shoe of choice. I slip a pair of the aforementioned insoles into them and bada-bing... they wear like a $300 pair of Nike's and look great too. At $30, they are damn near disposable.

Well, I did go because I was desperate. The salesman positioned himself as an expert and showed me various inserts and I tried several. He tried to feed me some BS about how each were so expertly designed and blah blah blah. They were just a piece of injection molded plastic. For $400 bucks I would have their lifetime support and could trade them out for others but the fine print built in pro-rata charges and other stuff. I was so close to falling for it. But I just couldn't swallow that type of money for what amounted to less than a Dr. Scholls insert you can buy at Walgreens. That's when I decided on the podiatrist. I told him about my trip the Good Feet. He just snarled and called them predators.

And BTW, My daughter has worn compression socks and leggings since she was a teen. She played volleyball in school, college, and professional volleyball worldwide and suggested I try them. I thought it was just an "old man" thing but she informed me that the smart athletes do it. So yeah, if you gotta wear socks, may as well be something that makes your legs feel good. And they don't fall down! There are several styles that look like regular socks.

I haven't gone because my primary care hasn't recommended I try there or a podiatrist yet. He wanted me to do some stretches first, but that hasn't done much for me at this point. But I'll ask when I see him for my annual physical. Compression socks do help, but at the moment, left heel is really sore.
