So I kind of sorta lucked out but it probably won't amount to anything. Samsung got rid of their phone cloud service. Somehow with that, I ended up getting around 500+ pictures, most of which I thought got deleted. Well one of the pictures ended up being the VIN number for my stolen Blaster. Unfortunately, Minnesota doesn't require VIN to register quads for trails, so it probably won't help me out. It's also time stamped to 2017, when I gotten it.

I would still give the police the vin, it might get recovered. Or better yet they might catch the thieves red handed at some point in the past or future. If I remember right you totally rebuilt that thing.

Only things I ever did with it were new sprockets, new chain, carb rebuild. I had picked up the fuel shutoff switch for it but never installed it, that was stolen with the bike. The frame would need either fixing up or replaced all together due to the kid that owned it for years before I got it, bent and cut off the rear frame loop just behind the seat. Then took a hammer to pound the cut tabs into the frame. The tail light was dangling and held up by two zip-ties.

Some of the mounting bolt clip threads were stripped out (my fault) that holds the body to the frame that I needed to replace. Also needed the foot nets, new clutch and brake handles because they don't sell just the bushings.

My overall plan was to do kind of a resto-mod on it. Change out the front drum brakes for hydraulic disc. Replace the mechanical rear caliper for a hydraulic caliper. Eventually change out the sprockets again for I think it was a 12 front with a 43 or 45 tooth rear sprocket. Different expansion chamber for more low and mid range. Get Banshee front and rear suspension on it. Then maybe FOX shocks on it. Just to have something to ride on trails with.

Dude your a real insparation to get out there and build franken engines
Thanks bud, just having fun. Easy is not worth anything
The "stage" cookie cutter builds get boring, the cost of the project does not matter.
Ive had tons of fun ripping my $20 briggs flatty budget build build.

Another bastardized build I just finished, my new monster moto 80 motor.
Started as a new display MTD powermore 208cc clone. Some of the differences between a standard clone
are ; 7 side cover bolts instead of 6, takes larger journal non-hemi cam, piston wrist pin is larger,
exhaust manifold bolt spacing is wider (larger pipe!), the cyl head bolt spacing is different, one bolt is offset,
the oil drain is tapped for pipe thread, only has rear oil cap, and the fuel tank front tabs are flat. And probably more
I can't remember.

So to put a billet rod in it, I had to use a lifan clone 212cc piston I had, new take off. It has the same bore as
a 212cc, 70mm. But only 54mm stroke, so I put a predator hemi 212cc crankshaft in it, 55mm to make it a 212 and
put the piston flush with the deck. I already had a billet rod+ flywheel for the hemi motor, so It made sense to swap
the crank. Plus the OG crank was 7/8 stub shaft. Then put in a 265 lift CM grind non- hemi cam, and make an adapter for a VM22 mikuni.

3k stall spring in a max torque SS clutch, it's stupid fast. Launch is meh then you have to lean forward to crack the throttle at 20+mph, pulls hard.
Plus made the best oil drain ever

And it does not end there, putting together a basically new 179cc powermore engine, the cheap
******** at mtd put a nylon cam and crank gear in it, unlike the 208cc engine.
It uses the same 54mm stroke crank as the 208, but tiny 65mm bore. For reference a
gx160 uses a 68mm bore x 45 mm stroke. Plastic sucks so I am putting the steel cam
from the 208cc in it, with a leftover box stock project 55mm crank, making it a 183cc stroker
with a regular 3/4 pto.

Fun stuff.

If anyone is interested, I mades it works. Shortened pushrods from medium frame OHV tecumseh's,
guide plates from kohler courage single cut down, and cut some off the pushrod ends of the tecumseh rockers
and welded them to cut off clone/mtd rockers, creating 1.3-4? to one ratio rockers. solving two problems.
They fit the fatter hollow tecumseh pushrods, and allow enough clearance between the pushrods and block
to work. Its gonna happen.

was their a purpose or just for fun? I can understand for fun tho me and my friends converted a diesel to gas... Didnt last long before he blew it up:cry:
Just for fun and bragging rights  Diesel compression ratio and gasoline sounds like a bad idea :smiley_omg:

This head swapped briggs is only pushing 10:1 compression :cheers2: (almost twice factory)

Speaking of diesels picked up this toy today, 211cc yanmar

Cool! Keep in mind the red/orange one has a 20mm crankshaft, not standard 3/4. So it will need turned down to fit a normal clutch.

The black one in the amazon ad is a yanmar clone. A genuine yanmar new is like $1500ish.

I get it, been there.

Fortunately I was able to trade a Kawasaki V-twin I got for free for the Yanmar.

Hahaaaa I wake up at 4:30 AM for religious seminary each morning, go to school till 3, ride the bus home, do chores, maybe a nap, Taekwondo black belt training for an hour or two until 9ish, then back to bed and restart. Saturdays I'm at the museum all day doing everything from washing the T-33 Shooting Star, the entire leading edge of the C-47 wings, pulling out/reinstalling A-26K carburetors, wing walking, jet engine installation, saving old model airplanes, all while literally running across the hangar. Needless to say I'm glad Sundays aren't very booked for me, plus my dad's teaching me how to drive stick on the way home from church.
Oh and I mow lawns for money, plus I have a Taekwondo tournament tomorrow morning.
And despite it all, I love my life.
