The only main issues we have seen consistently with the 3.6 is the timing cover likes to leak (starts by the generator/alternator) and the oil filter housing leaks (its apart of the oil cooler), which use need the whole oil cooler to be replaced, now it's just a couple deals and o-rings. Depending on the year of it, it has a 10 year 150,000mi coolant. Spark plugs should be done at every 100,000mi. We usually see Chargers and 300s come in for radio problems.

Gotcha. Mine's a 2015 model and has about 27,000 miles on it, so the engine is still fairly new.

Also, got an estimate from the body shop today (since my dad knows them he went ahead and got it for us).......total came to be $9,111.03 It's well under the 75% value of the car so I believe they will not want to total it and fix it. I just hope that they can fix it like it used to be and not have any issues down the road.

Yeah the Dart isn't really well known for being that great a car from what I've read on the Dodge forums. That's very interesting about the engine using oil! Pretty crazy there.



LOL!! When I got out of my car and saw it was a female who had hit me I had the thought of "heck maybe I could get a date out of this". But she wasn't my type, to put it that way. And when we started talking I realized she really wasn't my type lol.

I knew of a guy who saw a girl with a flat tire on the side of the road and he went past her and thought she was cute so he went back to help her...they ended up hitting it off and got married a few years later! But yeah, helping someone with a car issue is lots different than being run into haha!

Too bad. Thatd be a god story downt he road. "How'd we meet? Well she smashed my car!"

Its a shame what they did to the dart.

But anywho... this was kinda fun.

If I had bought a hoodie, or spent $50 at her table I could have gotten a picture with her. But all I was after was the cd since I missed getting one at Uprise.

Please bear with me for this post, I'm typing with my left hand.

Well, It's going to be a few weeks until I can work on my go karts and minibike again. Yesterday, i was riding my mountain bike, doing arount 17-20 mph, when I went to stand up, like I have done a thousand times. But this time, my hands slipped off the handle bars, my chest landed on the handle bars, causing a significant forward weight transfer, resulting in a loss of control. And I landed hard, and this time I rolled. Well, using my stubborn southern mind, I caught my breath (The impact knocked the air out of me), got up, straightened the handle bars, hopped on and rode back to the house (350 ft through a pasture).

About 15 minutes later, I went to feel my shoulder, because it was hurting pretty good. Well my shoulder was fine, bet it felt like my collarbone was broken. So we went to the hospital, thinking that they would be better than the walk in clinic. We were wrong. I got there at 6:15 pm, and I didn't leave until 9:15. It took them an hour between the time that they said that they were going to get me a prescription, until the time that the figured out that 10 days before I got a prescription for 3 days of pain killers, after I had my wisdom teeth pulled.

So long story short, I broke my collarbone, and wont be doing any physical activities for about 2 weeks.

Actually, I crashed my BMX bike yesterday!
Going down an incline at high speed in front of the local Super Target on the sidewalk. I hit some silt buildups from rainstorms on the sidewalk, and I lost all traction.
Probably didn't help that my rear tire is BALD! (From making tire marks) :embarassment:
So I got my knee scraped up pretty good, and a little rubber handlebar rub on my arm.
But I ruined my favorite pair of Levi's jeans!
Seems like a picnic in the park compared to your crash.
Hope we BOTH get better soon.

When I was 8, I was riding my bike around after I helped my dad organize his tools. Went up the hill to the park (about a year before they paved a sidewalk, it was just grass) and came back down a couple times. On the final time, I was coming up the driveway, the front brakes popped off the fork and wedged into the spokes of my wheel. I go flying over the handle bars, landed on my chin, chipped one tooth, and broke the other next to it about in half.

My parents took me to the hospital and after sometime, and eventually a doctor asked me to open my jaw and my mouth opened to the left. He knew instantly it was broken. So they stitched up my chin and my lip (broken tooth might have cut my lip, not 100% sure), they ran wires on my gums and used rubber bands to keep my mouth closed (they probably should have used wires instead of rubber bands). I ended up missing a couple days of school from the accident. Still have the scars on my chin and upper lip, and my jaw is still crooked. My guess is: either my jaw didn't heal just right, or the rubber bands were not enough to keep it aligned properly. On top of that on occasion, when ever I have my mouth open or I'm eating, my jaw partly locks up or goes out of alignment and I get a shooting pain in the right side. Probably a bit of TMJ.

Bike accidents are no joke, even if you are only going a couple miles per.

Life happens, long as you make it out alive, that's all that really matters.

Yeah I was probably going ~20 mph, and it was ugly.
Amongst pilots, a good landing is one you can walk away from, and in this case, mine was an excellent landing, since I was able to bike away.
I'm glad my knee still works even though it's a bit sore.
It's my left leg, so I'm glad I can still operate go kart brakes!
And I am very grateful that I was wearing jeans, a helmet, and bicycling gloves.
My head didn't get hit, but it's still reassuring.
With how bad my knee is, I can't imagine what it would be like if I was wearing shorts. True they were my favorite jeans, but I'd rather they get shredded than my knee.
And lastly, My bicycling gloves mean my hands are completely unscathed.
So yeah: BE CAREFUL ON TWO WHEELS!
This incident only furthers my intent to never get into motor and minibikes.
It would be a catastrophe to crash going 40+ mph on a minibike.

Yeah I drive on on the road and especially with my kart its a little iffy doing 50 plus lol

I have had a cop drive right past and wave and everything but I guess it just depends who it is. I usually have a good helmet and gloves on tho

I would be down for that, no joke either. Fun fact, if more people road motorcycles in the US, say 40%, congestion would be a thing of the past.

Even if karts were road legal here, I wouldn't take mine on the road, or anywhere near town. Talk about Idiot drivers. There's one intersection that we literally call the Idiot crossing, because people pulling out of there, into 65 mph traffic, literally pull up to the stop line, count to three, and pull out. Not to mention all the left turns from the right lane of a three lane highway.

And as for minibikes being more dangerous than bicycles, I have actually found the opposite to be true. I have only crashed my minibike twice. and that was the result of trying to corner at 10 mph on a flat rear tire. Whereas, last December I crashed my bike and hurt my left shoulder, and I just crashed my bike again and hurt my left shoulder again, and fractured my right collar bone.

Even though I am pretty daring on my bicycle. I am now able ride a wheelie for about an eighth of a mile. And I'm still playing around with the tire pressure.

Seriously, sometimes when we're in the far right lane in a traffic jam. there will be some freakin' BOZO!!! will go probably 40 MPH with his left tire in the breakdown lane and his right tire on the grass!!!
'Cause their time is invaluable, right?
I think part of the reason you've found minibikes to be less dangerous is because of a lower center of gravity, due to the engine.
Either way, I'll pass.
I prefer to have four wheels on the ground.
I may make a drift trike someday though.
My dad and I sometimes make devious schemes for when we take over the world() and how we'll make everyone drive go karts, and then when they want to move big items, we'll just make them use trains!

Or how about the time that my kart pulled my off road, and I did some lawn mowing through some tall bushes? Bottom line, I’m not intentionally a dare devil, but things happen. Like “accidentally” jumping my mini bike. Or truly accidentally crashing my bicycle.
