I like karts
Rotary Power!
Has anyone ever tried to run a briggs off propane? I don't think it would be very hard to do. This is how I would go about convering it:
1. Remove gas tank and take off the 2 tubes that come down from the carb then plug up the holes.
2. Get a propane bottle (those coleman camping ones that are like 6" long) and a screw in adapter thing for the tank.
3. Get some copper tubing and a valve to limit the flow. also another valve for cutoff
4. Take out the screw for the main jet (not just the needle the little hex bolt that holds it in as well) and get a fitting to attatch the copper tube to it.
5. Put both valves on the copper pipe (on/off and mixture)
6. Attatch the tank screw in adapter to the copper pipe
7. Turn the on/off valve to on and start engine.
8. Tune the mixture screw for best performance
9. After turning off engine, close on/off valve (that way you dont have to mess up your mixture)
Heres a crappy little diagram thing: (= indicates pipe)
Tank with fitting===on/off valve===mixture valve===carb main
jet hole
So, what do you think?:toetap05:
