Hey! I work too!...Just not as much as my parents do but I buy my own methanol, oil, parts, and more. I also paid for pretty much half of my go kart. Not including the tools. And I won alot of money racing so Thats where my money come's in. I won 1500 last year. And thats my first year when I was a rookie.
Nice! Too bad my kart isn't exactly racing legal... neither is my engine... haha!
Wish there was a track near me
Meh, who doesn't buy their own parts?

How do you get that engine so clean ? What exactly do you do to it?

He probably used a power washer, that or so engine clean stuff in a can you can buy.

I'm a huge fan of those B/S 3.5's.... It's B/S's "Small Block" but I think it's like 9 cu in, which makes it a great motor for those with tight quarters. I've never had the pleasure of having my own to mess with, but a good friend has 2 of them, and they easily dust everything I had except for the BlueTerror motors. Have fun with it!
Thanks Jerry! I have a 5HP crank on the way. When that fits in, then hopefully I can hook up my Wiseco piston and billet rod setup. I'll try and get pictures tomorrow!
Explicit Error - Nope, I just used a hose and those gardening attachments. They work wonderfully. Mist, power wash (actually very powerful).
I didn't even scrub it. The only reason the bore looks so nice is because I honed her real good. Then I got out the dremel and a wire brush attachment and gave it a nice smooth surface (not pictured).
Now I have a exhaust header from the 5HP hooked up to it. Again, I'll try and post pictures tomorrow.

Thanks! Actually, there are actually a few differences... (3HP over 5HP)
For one, the 3.5 can support 2 types of carburetors. The bore is a bit larger, and the head is a different size and shape. The flywheel is also a teeny bit lighter.
When I got my 3.5, I knew right away that porting would help power alot. Just looking in the exhaust and intake, you could see all the jagged and sharp edges. Ported it out, straight header, going to mill the head... ect...
Advantages: Some people say and have seen these 3.5's keep up with 5HPs and a few OHVs...
Disadvantes: May not have the same potential as the 5 horse. Not as easily found as the mass produced 5 horses.
