You the man ima leave you in peace for a bit. So even if my timing is off. It running great for the first 5 min an then falling off sounds like the problems from bad timing?
What was the deal with the ignition coil? How did you test it? It is very possible you damaged or are overheating it by running too tight of a gap between ignition coil and flywheel magnet.
I set mine by loosening the ignition coil mounting screws, then put feeler gauges against coil (for you…. 0.050” , 0.035 stacked with 0.015), then rotate flywheel until magnet pulls the coil tight and squeezes the feelers. Then tighten and adjust if needed to keep both sides at the same distance. Tighten it down then recheck.
