I will be putting a motor mount plate on the kart this weekend and was wondering what would be a good thickness for it?
i will be putting a 5.5 hp briggs on it.

so pretty much i'm trying to copy the GO QUAD go kart...
i have one of them already but it's to slow and its spindle driven.
its a small go kart lol...

yeah, looks great! im not the best one to ask for advice, apart from the stuff i have already done;) what gearing are you going to use?

gearing? I have no clue.. but i'm getting the motor this weekend. I guess thats something to think about really quick huh? lol..
Ill be using 8" ais filled tires in the rear. and some other sort of something in the front..lets see some progress of your kart?

when i say gearing i mean sprockets and clutch teeth. i would use something about 15:60 to go 25-30mph. the less teeth uo have on the clutch, or more on axle, the slower your max speed and higher your exelleration. i will post some more pics when i have made some progress as my gx200 clone engine is on its way this weekend
