He's probably scrambling to put that Isky cam in his other Predator so he can make a video.

Personally, I'd like to see the carnage...but it ain't gonna happen.

Status Report:
It runs.. I had to grind almost every part of the crankshaft and the bottom of the bore.
Had taken off the cylinder head to get to one part of the crank because I didn't want to completely remove the crankshaft to grind that one part.

I obviously forgot to position the piston ring gaps away from eahother so i'm getting blow-by now.(hence the blue smoke) BUT IT RUNS.

also the high lift cam bent a pushrod.

Maybe you broke a ring with your backwoods screwdriver piston ring compressor.

Luckily that wasn't the case.

I just got done positioning the rings and not only were the two I was talking about positioned nearly the same.. the OTHERS were the same position as well : /

My oil should last a while longer now for sure. And should have a noticeable increase in power.
And no smoke! Because smoking's bad,kids. mmkayy?

Time for a re test. Only at idle. Maybe a small teeny rev until chromoly pushrods and heavier springs.

High lift cams might need shorter pushrods and probably Cr-Mo.

Get the Cr-Mo Cut to length ones and let me know how they work.

Amazing what a sealed piston can do.

Too much crank case pressure I guess forcing oil past the rings.

I'll try a crank case ventilation test tomorrow.
and it is oil burning. not gas. Makes a cool fog machine. I'm thinking of making a video fogging up the garage

The blow-by was in fact the result of too much crank case pressure.

Here's something most people here haven't seen.. under the valve covers cover:

I checked under there because I'm going to enlarge the hole that comes from the outside for more pressure venting. That hole is smaller on the inside than it appears to be on the outside.
Debating on removing that blue "scotch bright" pot scrubbing" filter/pad.
May even need to make another hole to ensure proper ventilation.

I also switched to 10w-40. This build isn't exactly "mild" anymore. Needs a heavy duty oil.

Also need to, at the minimum, port the exhaust port. Can hear excess velocity trying to come out when the engine gets turned off and upon cranking. I don't know how to explain it but it makes a different air flow sound.
That being said..*sigh ughhh*..could really use a bigger intake valve, bigger exhaust valve, bigger valve seats, valve guides, the whole shabang for the valve train.

i dont think Ctrl+Z works like that.
Added: I'm not sure about going any higher lift right now. Don't want the pushrod to fall out of the rocker.

I didn't mention putting gas in the tank , oil in the crankcase, or air in the tires either, dipstick.

Are we supposed to hold the hands of the mentally challenged with every little detail that's common knowledge and covered in multitudes of threads on this forum?

What did you use to re grind the cam is the burning question in my mind. I have a pretty good assortment of tools, and have access to the ones I don't have. I also have over 25 years experience building some really fast cars and bikes, and I wouldn't even attempt a re grind.
