Just started it.. my hands are shaking from the amazement. I need to calm down.
BARELY ,and i mean BARELY any throttle and there is a BIG power difference.
That was just the idle test. I haven't dared open the throttle up yet.

I wonder if the eth/meth blends because of the ethanol in pump gas these days? Gasoline will clearly blend with ethanol, (E85) , and methanol will blend with ethanol. You have probably leaned it out a little since it takes more alcohol to make the same energy as gasoline. Regardless, I'm sure interested to see how this turns out.

It blends "as if we were legally allowed to marry 3 or 2 wives."

The home made cam. Can't afford another. Those things cost $100 + $12 shipping for a good one. The $70 Black Mamba has no comparison to the $100 custom cams.

I did offer Guy a trade-in at one time.
The cam was still new in perfect shape and all cleaned up.
I offered to trade for $40 and I pay shipping both ways. I got no response so here I am with my personal custom camshaft.

Ended up selling my .290 cam for $65 with the 26pound springs 'cause noone knew anything about cam specs and they all thought Black Mamba was the only answer.
A bunch of research later, I want to sell cams now. and for cheaper. > : )

Congrats on getting it running.

Question though. Why the need for high octane fuel? I think your compression increase is because you disabled the compression release on the cam.

Not sure if your cam mods increased dynamic compression. In fact possibly just the opposite. In which case you might make more newton meters with 89 octane.

Before other people start to believe that:
The compression gain came from the increased Lobe Separation Angle and high lift. More LSA = less valve overlap which closes both valves sooner thus building more compression. The compression release is still there.

High-pressure=high temperature = spontaneous combustion after warmed up before reaching its ignition time. ?
