I prefer the ones that go outside the frame, just like a real modersickle. They run along near the seat down tube/seat stay and if need be, could be attached there for some flex resistance.

Had some tinker time.
Got the grips and cables installed.

Zip tied the cables to the frame. Kept it sleek running the throttle to the rear, instead of out the side.

Even got the kill switch through the magic box.

Carb and fuel line.
I added a stiffer throttle return spring. Dont need this hanging at half throttle when you let off.

Seat and tank installed.
This sides done i think.

This was a chain guard mounting tab I cut off where the CVT hit the frame. I think I can make use of this.

Cut it down to size.
Do you guys use the wheel to the very last?

Drilled a hole and welded a bolt to the bracket.

One adel clamp minus the rubber will make an awesome exhaust mount.

Yeah. Its a little loose now.
Im not done.

Stopped at the parts store. Walked in like i own the place and said where's the header wrap.
Kid says maybe by the exhaust fittings on the back wall.
Yeah. That would be a good place to look as the kid follows me.
Nope, not there.
He goes back to his computer and asks make and model.

Lol. Just kidding.

He says we don't carry it.
Im pretty sure you do I said. Just saw it online in stock.
I look at his screen as he swivels it to me.
I see his search bar and it said:
Header rap

I shake my head and say try spelling it with a W.

His look was like a deer in headlights.

He changed the spelling and what do ya know, a whole bunch popped up.
I point, yup that stuff.
Then the other kid perks up, oh! That stuff, I used that on my truck.
I shake my head again....

Got my prize and a good chuckle. Home I go.

Set the length of the pipe i wanted by loosening the threads a bit.
A spot weld to hold them forever in place.

20251027_183955.jpg

Now to put this stuff on.

20251027_184124.jpg

Start wrapping and use a clamp to hold it while I put on the first hose clamp.

20251027_185257.jpg

Working down the pipe keeping it tight and over lapping half of the width of the fiberglass.

20251027_185511.jpg

Using gloves i twist the wrap in the same direction and make it tight.
Once at the end 2 more clamps to hold it all on there.

Installed looks like this.

Adel clamp is now tight with the added thickness.

Lol. Just kidding.

I understood that reference. :cheers2:

I like your approach; do it right like you did it or don't do it at all. The spacing overlap has to be right or it looks like gah-bage.
I want to try the silver header wrap (that I just did a search for) to match the hot dog muffler and the pipe but maybe it's no good. The titanium seems to be the only shiny blingy wrap choice there is.

They make colored wrap. I saw pink. Then read the reviews. The color burns out.
I've also heard wet the wrap before hand but I just went at it.
And yes the over lapping has to be right or it looks like doo doo.
