Yeah untill it blows the head off or punches a hole right through the piston crown then you get covered in hot oil/fragment's.

I cant wait till that happens. LOL, i sold my Kholer CH25 on ebay for a pretty penny last week. If this motor blows...Then i guess its time for the Lifan V-twin. I have a nice scatter shield in the works to keep me safe.

Scatter shield. Want it Jr dragster safe or just kinda safe? According to the rule books it's 5/32 alumnum or 1/8 steel to stop a rod or flywheel explosion.

Well hey I'm just going by the rule book. 1/4" is pretty darn heavy but when your engine is RIGHT beside you I guess its not a bad idea.

K Tyler, i got your pictures for you.

Yes, those are valve springs. They're from my Spare Neon Cyl head. I used them because i do not have enough washers to properly space the front wheels, and because i had them handy. They work, don't flame.

This is the clutch chain cover, The scatter shield will be done in a day or 2. That will be like a small wall between me and the engine and will bolt to the mounting plate.

Looks like the thread wound down some. Not so much interest anymore?

WELL THEN....

Its time for an UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to Lowes to get some parts to get these **** brakes mounted. Got a turnbuckle and some minor hardware. this is what i came up with. i cant believe it worked the way i wanted it to. im so happy. (no the turnbuckle does not hit the axle)

Also bought some aluminum sheet. Made the floor pan and a small rock shield just because i had spare sheet left over. I cut the Slots myself with a dremel and painted it with some "Hammered" finish paint.

And just in case i ever want to drive this thing at night... I added this sweet "headlight". its actually a flash light i saw at wal-mart and couldn't pass it up.

The pictures of the lights on aren't very good. but they work amazing for about 150 or so feet. good enough for me.

Its HARD to try and transport a Kart around without a truck. man, it sucks hard. I didnt get driving today, i had a myriad of problems with getting it to idle correctly, but in the end i winz and got it to work. The neighbors came over and told me to turn it off, apparently it was too loud for them. Hmm... tomorrow i have a friend with a truck coming to help me, then were going to the dirt track. Yes.

As far as the Nitrous goes, i have the whole system set-up and ready to bolt on. What i want to do with this engine since its brand new is run it for x amount of hours and let it break in before i really abuse it.

I cant believe it, im totally done with this thing. What a feeling of accomplishment. now the guy across the street wants to buy it. lol.

Heres my pride and joy...ready to roll tomorrow!

This thread was my inspiration. Too bad he isnt active anymore. what a nice kart.
