Cant wait to get the rest of my parts tommorrow, im so stoked! Ill be driving in no time! BTW, i just ordered a 2.5lb Nitrous bottle off ebay for $45. Yes!

Nitrous is SOOO useless with your setup. That motor will blow in no time! And if your going all out with nitrous why would you put a muffler on it? It's like putting air filters on a top fuel dragster!

Well i dont think it would be all useless, it will make it have some good power for a while, but your going to melt the piston and/or snap the rod.

thanks for the dash of enthusiasm. I would like to think this is DIY and not www.letsbashpeoplesideas.com. I made this build thread to log my progress and to show people what im making. If this engine does blow, i have a Kohler CH25 V-Twin i purchased from a local that i will use.

Well i dont think it would be all useless, it will make it have some good power for a while, but your going to melt the piston and/or snap the rod.

The nitrous jet i am using is from the kits they sell on ebay. i believe its a .015 orifice or something like that. its really tiny. I would just have to modify the carb to add a little more fuel on the top end to prevent a lean condition.

Buddy...I wasnt trying to let you down I was just saying that the nitrous is just going to spray everywhere. Plus your motor wont like it very much. But I'm sure it will add quite a bit more power for a short ammount of time before she blow's. I was just letting you know incase you wherent aware of the risk's. EDIT Now that I know that your using a small jet I think it will be alright. I thought you where just going to let the entire shot right in.

Update, box of parts came in today. i have everything mocked up. Ill post pics tomorrow. Also, i just got the cylinder head back from the local machinist, i had it milled .016" to bump the compression a bit and hopefully get some more power. It will be running 93 Oct. or maybe ill throw a dash of my C16 in there to keep it from pinging if that happens.
Since i found out that an aftermarket piston and rod combo would cost me over $400 i was like, no way jose. so i sent the stock piston and rod to a local performance shop called xXx motorsports. Theyre going to shot peen the Rod/Piston and add a thermal coating to the piston skirt. All for the sweet price of $120. Ill post pics when they come back next week.

How much was the milling of the head? And was xXx motorsport's a joke? Also you might want to lap the valve's so it can hold it's raised compression ratio better. Couldnt hurt to do some light head and port work either.

It only cost me $35. and xXx motorsports is a speed shop here in Pensacola. I might try porting the head a little as well like you stated while i wait for more parts.

The lifan 150cc has 12HP. My Tec has 11 HP in Stock configuration. With my Mods i think it will be at a conservative 15-17 HP.

the 5sp is what makes the biggest diference. so what if it has less torque, the gearing will more than make up for it

Is that the stock carb you are using? Concerning the nos injection, are you planning to put an air filter on it or is it just gonna chill as is?

There's a good chance the engine will backfire with that Nos setup. You need it directly in the manifold.
