YOUR MY HERO!

This is soo cool! I want to go this route for my Honda gx610. After seeing your thread I went and found a mint KP31 turbo for 60 bucks. It will be a while till I get it all together, as I want to do fuel injection too, but the motor needs to be built first.

Anywho...who cares what I am theorizing....Your setup is very very cool dude!

thank you very much!!!!

where the hell did you found a kp31 for 60$????

Believe it or not, I found two for the same price.

I found them locally here in the US. Luckily for me here in the US, everyone feels that absolutely EVERYTHING is disposable. Thus, I found it in a junkyard.

For another 40 bucks I could have had the entire engine and wiring harness, intercooler. Only thing missing was ecu...and thats expensive!

guys just to let you know that i hooked up everything (exept charge pipes so engine is N/A) and that my turbo's oil seal are blow... while spinnig the compressor wheel slings oil drips in a 360* pattern LOL

soooo i'm looking for another kp31... if anyone can get one for me it would be nice!

no pics because its dark outside sorry... and my friends are coming for a beer right now!

oh! and the carb's jet is WAYYYYYYYY too big i'm running EXTRA rich and when i let go the gas its floods himself LOL... well will try to fill the jet with solder and re-drill a smaller hole...

i just bought another kp31 for 190$ shipped.... awwwwww 100$ more than the last one

anyway when the sucker arrives i'll just pop it out of the manifold and replace only the comp/center cartidge... i'll keep the other smart manifold to do another (eventually) turbo manifold...

still waiting on the intercooler... and on replacement jets as the bigass 3/32 jet i drilled is WAYYYYY too big. it was fine when the carb was 1.5 foot away from the block but now it makes the engine run extra rich and floods the engine when i let go gas

what size of main jet would you run with this carb (37mm) on the modified gx160 N/A (normally asipated ie:no turbo)

wait... i'll go outside pop quick pics just for you guys ;)

That carbureter is WAY too big for a a stock engine, For that matter heavily modified GX200. The stock intake valve is 23 mm with a intake port choke point of 23.5 mm or so. You have a 37 mm carb on there, WAY too big. Flooding when you let go of the gas is not caused by a main jet being too large, What size is your pilot and your slide cutaway?

i dont have any ideas of the pilot/slide size

should i just fit a smaller carb instead of struggling with this one?

if so would a 22-25mm carb be okay?

i would keep it but it runs like ****! if he doesnt run correct NA then i dont think how the turbo's gonna solve the problem LOL

i just bought a 22mm mikuni... and seeing you are running a 130 jet then i think i'll just put a little larger and see...

the turbo's outlet is 1 inch so i dont really see why i should keep the biga$$ carby...
22mm is going to be plenty enough (i think...)

the big carb was originally for the version1 lol the one with the biga$$ 14g turbo on it... then i just kept it...

so now i gonna have a tried and true 22mm mikuni that i know will work on the engine... i'll just have to jet it properly according to what my spark plug will tell me... (coulour)

hey guys i'm re-doing the whole steering assy... how much camber/caster would you guys put on that thing... currently its 0 and 0 LOL its does not turn LOL

and here: i added a small flange on the exhaust housing to mount my downpipe... hehehe

i welded it with tig 309l stainless filler and wrapped it in asbestos blanket for a slow cool down

Asbestos is some nasty stuff, I was told to bury cast iron in sand for cool down.

true but sand isnt readily available at the shop... there are a ****load of asbestos blankets though... lol

dont worry i handle it slowly to not produce dust... i know its very nasty to the lungs

anyway... i just finished the downpipe/muffer section today at work

:D:D:D:D

Caster, you can go with 5 to 10 deg. the more caster the more stable and harder to turn. 10 deg for flat out driving and 5 if you want maneuverability, like trail riding. I wouldn't go with any more then 1 deg. of camber, if you have no suspension.
