oh and something like the GT12 and GT15 is rebuildable. so if u blow a seal and kill the turbo etc. u can order the parts from garrett

i can get parts for the kkk kp31 too, they are just not as available as garrett's ones... i'm currently awaiting a set of journal bearings for my kp31... if that solve my side to side play i might also order a new comp wheel... (i said if because it could also be the bearing cartidge that worn out...)

you can get gt15's off saabs and some volvos

yeah i think when i'll have some free time i'll go to a junkyard and look for them... i have some other things to got look at anyway (igniton coils,fan motors) ;)

the thing is, you cant garuntee they are decent condition etc.

i might just get a old turbo off my friends WRX. but i think it will be too big

Have you thought about putting the whole carb inside an airtight enclosure (with the exception of the throttle cable... just seal it as good as possible) then run an equalization tube from the boost tube (turbo to carb box) to the fuel tank (additional lag at lower fuel levels). It still isn't perfect, but you'll be able to run a turbo, not burn oil, maintain fuel fuel pressure to prevent air from blowing back to the tank through the float bowl. There might be some funky tuning issues, but it might all work pretty good once you get it! Maybe.

yeah i should listen to you lol!

yeah i might enclose the carb... and i'll run a little 9 psi fuel pump that will be activated by a nifty pressure switch i got! the pump will activates at 2 psi of boost. i will have the pump PLUS a hose from the turbo into a leak-proof custom gas tank!

i've been meaning to ask you how you hooked up your oil pressure guage dude i got a free one to throw on the kohler the other day.

hmmmm mine only indicates the turbo's feed line pressure not the engine pressure but anyway...

i've just jammed a "T" into the oil ine and plugged the gauge on it! lol

heyhey guys...

just to let you know that i'm not dead yet (lol) and that i'm still spending stupid amount of $$$ on that monstrosity...

but what the hell... its entertaining :D

this post is just to let you guys know that the turbocharged/intercooled honda gx160 V.3 is going to be even more bada$$ than the previous version...

its going to feature a 37mm intake carb adaptater, a full intercooler system with a blowoff valve (intercooler is off a nissan skyline :D) a oil cooler from a suzuki bike, a oil filter a new tig welded oil tank a tig welded pressurisable fuel tank and of course a cute little fart can! :D

for the outside i'll install two 3w LED projectors, LED brake lights and blue underbody LED ground effects :D

i also plan on rebuilding the whole steering assy. i plan on adding a sorta "powersteering"

lololololol srry not tonight i'm heading to my girlfriend's place for the night. and tomorow i have to do a complete tuneup on her car soo i'll take good resolution pics of the current progress on wednesday... tonight i prepped the BOV adapter pipe for SS tig welding tomorow... i'm still waiting on my 4" pipe to fab up my oil tank

:D be patient its gonna be worth it... dang i cant wait for my friend to give me his skyline intercooler :D

YOUR MY HERO!

This is soo cool! I want to go this route for my Honda gx610. After seeing your thread I went and found a mint KP31 turbo for 60 bucks. It will be a while till I get it all together, as I want to do fuel injection too, but the motor needs to be built first.

Anywho...who cares what I am theorizing....Your setup is very very cool dude!
