I dont think its possible for suction to pull open a slide carb. You may be thinking of Keihen carbs with the diaphragm that opens the slide, but with mikuni's the slides are opened directly by the throttle cable, and have a pretty good return spring.

i dont know which kind of carbys ive just heard of it happening to slide ones, ive heard that somtimes once they are at WOT they get stuck there so yeah?? i think that was on blow through set ups though, not sure. perhaps just run it with out a chain the first time, just for safety??

thanks

Hayden

That is definitely the smallest turbo I have ever seen. Looks like a great time. Good luck and as always keep us posted.

i'll try it with the same carb... it will probably work better since this one will move alot more air... i'll probably have to repair the main jet as right now its enlarged to 3/32 LOL

disconnected but not removed... i know i'm playing with fire... i should really kick my lazy a$$ and open the engine...

i'll probably opent it up this winter... as i dont have a garage to play on it, i think i'll just remove the whole engine and work indoor on it...

it would be a great idea to look for wear... this engine lived on a industrial compressor before going on my kart... so he's REALLLY no new...

i should completely remove it... becaus the internal guts of the gov arent meant to operate a hight speed... and if they blow... well it will mess up the internals...

edit: wow 6192 views! keep it up! lol

edit : weeeee won a boost/vacuum gauge on ebay for 16$ shipped.... i really hope the needle will go at least to 0.5 psi lol

i'm also thinking about butchering the turbine housing to get rid of inutile metal and ports (like the wastegate and another port) will make it lighter and exhaust flow will go straight to the wheel rather than baffling in inutile chambers... TO THE ZIPCUT! lol ...dang no more zipcuts LLOL

sorry could not resist to take another pic
