absolutly freaking awesome project mate :thumbsup: but you should stay away from slide carbys if you can because when theres a turbo atached to them they can sometimes suck open leaving you stuck on full throtle which will lead to girly sreams :roflol: and an expensive sounding clunk from your engine :mad2:

I dont think its possible for suction to pull open a slide carb. You may be thinking of Keihen carbs with the diaphragm that opens the slide, but with mikuni's the slides are opened directly by the throttle cable, and have a pretty good return spring.

this kid just bought a stock turbo from some type of vw from my freind i was thinking of buying it off him before he could. the inducer is like a inch wide lol the shaft had two much play for me tho. i woulda put it on my racin mower.

In case any one's interested these restricter plates come in 3 graduated sizes, (purple, blue and gold) and they're instaled between the carb and engine to purposely lower power and speed in junior kart racing classes.

One of these would probably increase the velocity of the air-fuel mixture entering an engine but I'd think restricting the intake or exhaust at any point would only worsen the drawbacks of using an over sized turbo.

thanks for the inputs... but the turbo is just too big lol thats why i'm installing a smart turbo with a 3/4" inducer! thats gonna spool!

Have you seen a smartcar? there the size of a flippin golf cart.

This is gonna be sweet though, turbo shopping cart take 2...Now you need to add a storage compartment for your groceries!

ROFL and yeah i have seen ONE smart car it was at some fair around here and they were trying to raffle it off. well i live in redneck ville. no one payed the 1dollar to try to win it. they asked my dad if he wanted to put in the raffle cause he woulda had a good chance to win hes like no way in hell i would drive that thing. they were like all insulted rofl.

BTW i been meaning to ask you how many cc's is your engine? Because when i get mine i'm thinking of something 300cc or bigger.
