Great build my friend. I spent 6 years building a class 5 Baja bug and my tubing ended up with surface rust like yours (maybe not quite as bad). I found a product called Rust Bullet can be found ar www.rustbullet.com. You basically spray a rust neutralizer on the metal and then spray or brush on the encapsulator and it adhears to the rust like powder coat.

This is what the Metal Blast did the the rust.

Here's a couple shots of the finished product. I brushed this.

Good luck and keep up the great work

I am new to the forum. I am going to start building my kids a mini monster truck go kart like off the wall, which by the way is a great go kart. Any info that anyone can give would be helpful. The go kart will be a build from the ground up. I would like to find a Carter brothers grave digger body if not does anyone know where I could have one made. So I need every bit of advice as possible from frame to tires and drive train. I mean everything I need help on. Any help would be appreciated and , off the wall, any help from your build like size of shocks, tires, and length and width of you project so I can build one similar. P.S. off the wall you could probably sell plans to your project.
:welcome2:
You need to start a build thread of your own, and not hijack the OP thread...
That way, all your questions are in one spot, and not scattered about in different threads.....
O yeah, please fill in your location. You will be asked many times, until you do. It helps when we know where you're from, when you ask about parts and what not.....

I'm sorry if you took my comment wrote g. There was no need to remove the post. You broke no laws.... I was simply stating, to start your own build log, so we can keep all your info in the same spot. Don't worry, you didn't ruffle any feathers.... You're doing right.....
Who knows, maybe these 2 "trucks" will be put to a battle..... :lolgoku:
Mini monster jam...... :lolgoku:

How is it? The steering, I mean?. Do you get a good sweep left to right? I can't wait to see this done. It's giving me courage to try something like it, but maybe a little bigger scale. Keep up the good work man. It's looking really good!
EDIT.... What keeps the front end going side to side? And it the steering shaft telescopic to make up for the suspension travel?

It does have a good sweep.. so good i am going to have to weld stops so the tires don't hit the four link.. No telescoping, i set the height of the tie rods just above parallel to the ground so when the suspension compresses the wheels will turn out slightly. fully compressed they move about a half inch apart...
