Actually, MY brainstorm is to move into the house next door to Crazycart, in hopes that some of that good luck will rub off on me!

AND as an added bonus- it become the "Epicenter of Stupid Things Powered By Sled Motors!"

Jerry, i do have a pretty good sized shed in the back you could stay in, it even has electricity!

and well, i will make a thread on it, but im not sure if its gunna go anywhere past a snowmobile. Im getting it this weekend, after i shoot a few bambi's(DEER OPENER!) We will see...

Lol I not telling! That's up to you to find out. Personally I dont know what planes there going in. It's called the touchdown bearing. And the tolerences are pretty darn tight. 1000th of a inch.

Did a flat-out top speed run today and only hit 58mph. The motor started bogging more and more- then I figured out that I needed more gas. (Fuel pickup at front of tank) so when I get on it, the gas sloshes to the back. The belt was still about 1/4" from the top of the primary.

Last night I had time to think about the problem, and I think a few things might be contributing....
1. ) Low fuel (duh) sloshing away from pickup under acceleration.
2. ) Tank sits about 6-8" lower than a stock sled tank. Don't know how high a tilly can pull fuel, but...
3. ) Vacuum at WFO might be dropping too low. I don't know how much it affects a 2 stroke, but a 4-stroke can be brought down to near-zero vacuum at WFO. This would drop the fuel pump efficiency too.

I'll have to fill it up and retry, but in the meantime, I'm going to yank the driven unit and fiddle with the spacing and spring-tension. Right now, the motor won't rev over 6200 rpm, which is quite a bit below where it makes it's best power. (7200 rpm).
I kinda entered into this ASSuming that under not so optimal conditions, the motor could pull through, but now things have gotta be tweaked if I'm going to hit my target.
