Nope, the internals are very similar to a normal muffler, i took the pipe and plugged it up in the middle, cut out baffles on each side...

It sounds decent too, well it did on my dr100. This engine is going to displace a lot more air, so it should sound even cooler.

Ok, its lowered down 1". I think it looks good, and im not changing it. I also tried to get the PTO clutch off the engine, didnt work out so well, i snapped my hammer and made no progress.

Its got a gap now since i trimmed it down, so i guess thats just more bondo work.

Broke the hammer, was trying to pry off the PTO clutch.

Hey Kaptain, I was thinking that "sweet rust pattern" kinda looks like paint over-spray. I'm just tryin to figure out what they painted on it. (meyby a miniature Roman Chariot wheel...

I think you should Bondo that sukka up , finish sanding it up , line the outer layer with wax papper , then layer it up with fiberglass cloth , resin and when cured , pull it off and have a Custom fiberglass hood scoop mold ,, lol , you could then finish it up and have a really nice scoop ,,Bill

Good idea, is there strong epoxy that will bond fiberglass to metal though?

The idea I was trying to explain was for you to make a mold out of your metal scoop , cover it completely with wax paper on the outside , a standard Polyester resin for autobody work and some cloth layed up on top of the wax paper , the wax paper will separate from the metal when the resin cures so all you have is a light weight and strong fiberglass scoop you can then finish up and paint ,,

Yah shipping is Ridiculas from the USA to Canada ! Lol , mind you I`ve boughten over half the parts for my trike ,, go kart to be ,, engine from the USA and it still works out to half the price of buying locally here ?? Go Figure ?? lol ,, I got my rear sprocket today from the USA , and a brand new ignition coil from Hong Kong today ,, the coil only cost me $ 7.92 Canadian ,shiped to my door ,, Yah ,, just waiting on my shocks and 2 calipers now ,,. Then it begins ,,,,,,,,

Well, i decided not to do the fiberglass thing, mainly because i dont feel like buying all that stuff and i can get it looking pretty nice with bondo anyways. i welded it up (like 20 tacks all around), with my .035 flux core wire, it was REALLY hard not to burn through, so i have a few holes to patch but i think the final product will be nice.
