News flash:....It's cold!!!!! At least where I am.....

Now....for a large part of America....this is true....however....in Texas....we go from 80° f to 32° in 2 days...and that makes it a leetly bit rougher....but....the good Lord...in his all-knowing ways...knew enough to put Texans in Texas....'coz we're tough enough to take it!!!!!

And he put Aussies in Australia because he knew they were stupid enough not to notice how bad they had it.....or they would move to S. Africa to escape the heat.....

Hey!! SA might not be as bad as Australia with the heat, but we are just a degree or two behind. Not much difference in latitude here We are both pretty much on 30 degrees South

I hate being the bearer of bad news.. but to have to tell a client all of their hardware is a decade old and they need to dump $5K minimum to get up to "corporate code" kills me.

On a side note.. If there were 3 of me i'd keep us all busy for the next month.. I've been turning down work for 2 weeks and busier than a 1 legged man in a @$$ kicking contest..

Well...I went to the corner convenience store today....some of you may remember the drama with an employee a while back.....

The owner was there....and he told the guy behind the counter...."You see this man?....You treat him right....If he complains...you go!!!!"

That made me feel pretty good.....but this little guy already knows which cigars I want.....and I feel like royalty....the way he jumps when I walk in.....

But it gets better....I bought (3) $2 Lottery scratch-offs....and the 2nd one was a $50 winner.....

Well....my ex just called....the kid's Jeep just crapped it's tranny....she had it towed to a shop.....$2500...for a new tranny....so she wants to have it towed here.......

That's OK....but we were together for like 30years....and she still doesn't know a Poboy can fix crap like that for almost nothing??????

Don't know what year Jeep yet......

But....I tried to get some fall clean up done today....It wasn't easy....considering the brutal weather conditions.....only got up to 72° f today....with that merciless 5-10 mph wind out of the south.....

Yeah....no typos here....and yeah....I'm rubbing it in....you guys in cooler climes missed your chance.....you should have picked on us when it was over 100° in the shade......

So....a real surprise....cleaning up the garden debris....I found this little guy..one of my all time favorites.....and one of the coolest snakes on the planet....a rough earth snake......

Despite the aspect of my clients needs to sink cash...

I learned the Jettacide 2.0 needs nothing moar to make it a road warrior..
Not like I could type this anywhere else..

Well.....pretty good day today.....tuned up my new lawnmower....I got this thing for $10 or $15 at a yard sale....they are over $100 new.....

I tore it down...filed the blades and the bed knife and reassembled it with some coarse valve grinding compound on the knives....hooked up a 1/2" drill and ran it in reverse...put the wheels back on and set low...it chews up tall grass...

Then I FINALLY got around to pulling the Tecrapsea off the Manco and correcting the brain fart I had rebuilding it...and correctly aligned the crank/cam.....I have it firing and running for a few seconds now....so it ,won't take much to get it going all the way now.....

70°f.....today....life's good sometimes......
