The fuel pump is that little square thing in the middle. Powered by the pulse from the carburetor adapter.

Taped together because the last time it backfired, the recoil flew back in and knocked everything outta place...

Haven't started it yet because I'm honestly scared to heck...

You may have to mess with that Carb a bit to get it to run right. If you do start it, run it for a while and then take out the plug,it should be a dry cardboard brown color,if its wet/oily,its to rich. Also,i would get some hose clamps instead of tape. And i wouldn't really trust that engine with just the gov. removed because of the cheap parts they're made with.Get a billet rod and a flywheel rated for higher rpm.

Yeah... I'll do that right now. It's VERY loud, spits gas down the exhaust and up the carburetor... Also runs very rich. But the choke was closed all the way too :D

If I opened the choke... it took off...

is the throttle wide open all the time? change your idle throttle and you'll get it under control.

wait a minute you say you taped the fuel line together because it might backfire?? I dont see how a back fire affects the fuel line. And I know why your cart is just taking off when you release the choke. Right now your motor is wide open full throttle. Normaly when there is a governer the motor starts up on full throttle then when the engine is running the governer closes the carb to its idle postion. So start it up, turn off choke hold the carb closed aggainst the black idle screw and it will idle right down.

I talk to my local kart shop today and alot of guys are running with these motor first thing they are doing is completely removing all the piece to it and are not running into any problem.have any one heard of problems with these motors when removing the governar.

At least they're not running into any problems removing all the pieces to the motor. :biggrinjester:

(It's a joke, I just thought it read a little funny. I know exactly what you meant.)

I have a spring now, and when I started it.

When I open up the choke, it revs off.

:mad2: Man, now that I see all the stuff that's available for the blue engines, I kinda regret not getting one at Harbor when they had them for $65. :mad2:

I'll get me one next time, hopefully they'll be all cheap again. In the meantime, I'll continue working with what I got. :auto:
