When you get that piston out, get pics of the cylinder to see if the piston damage is digging into the bottom of it on the thrust side.

I havnt ordered from ARC in a yr or 2.
I never thought about them having it.
I get back to you later, gotta eat.

Oh yea, that's right.IS THAT AN ACTUAL HONDA??? haha yeah I got plenty of stock airboxes around but i would have to change the throttle cable out, maybe I can just go down a size on the jets on my nibbi, your boys are too cute btw, hopefully that will be my little girl in a couple years, heres a video from a couple weeks ago I was testing out telemetry overlay
Hahaha thats great, I finally started pulling stuff off today, the oil when I drained it looked nice and shiny... I also put a new jackshaft in and bearings because I noticed my old one was wobbling, tomorrow after work Im probably going to get the new chain I ordered on and get the carb and everything else ready so that way thursday I can just put everything on fill er up with oil and let it rip, hopefully then monday I can swap cam and rod and springs and ittl be rippin again. Will I need to use lapping compound on the flywheel with the new motor?View attachment 20230926_203744.jpgOh yea, that's right.
I forgot about that ball/barrel for the slide carbs. I quit slides a few yrs ago. They don't keep up.
I agree drop a jet.
Yea that's a honda gx160.
That's a REAL 7000 rpm go kart engine.
That lil 45mm crank stroke will sing for ya, if done right.
The 224 has a 58mm stroke, it's a stump puller, yank ya teeth outta head, and don't need that unnecessary high rpm to make power. It's much better at 6000 rpm or lower.
The best, least restricted stock air boxes I've seen so far, has come off the Ducar 212, and the Predator 224.
If you look and feel, you will see that in the 1st turn under the filter. Those amazon, ebay clone stock boxes have 3) 90* turns in them. The ducar changed the 1st turn which made the other 2 turns at different angles, making it flow more.
Those are my grandsons, about 5 yrs ago. I've had 2 more grandsons and 2 more grand daughters since then. That's 10 total.
My kids keep telling me it's something in the water.
Don't tell the Ole lady, she'll make me start drinking more water,![]()
