It all adds up i guess . id say 160 body, 160 tracks, 150 engine tranny and winch, about 100lbs for all the wheels and rear axle and drive cogs. 30 for other parts

I finished the tool tray. It works on regular drawer slides so i can take it out easy. Works well and looks good too

AWESOME!

I bet some might be a bit confused when they see you coming along in that thing..
so be carefull.. riding a german WWII tank in an american wood might lead to a fatal misinterpretation by spectators ;)

I wonder.. if you add another horse or two, maybe you can gain a bit more speed while maintaining the same amount of torque,
just so that it's faster than walking would be ideal I guess :D

Anyways.. still my favourite WWII themed thing ever!

great work on the toolbox by the way, I'm sure you worked out which tools to include;
but the screwdrivers.. IDK.. to me they're always either too short, too small or too large
they never seem to fit any purpose *shrugs* can you enlighten me?

Wow!!!!!! If I didn't read this thread, I would have thought your tank was from a manufacture. Such detail, great work.

Thanks guys it is certainly at home in the snow. Sid most people think its like a mini bull dozer rather than a tank until they get close. I think I had it in 3rd gear most of the time in the video so it does go a little faster. Power doesnt seem to be a problem at all. I could adjust the pulley size to get more speed but im fine with its top speed. You cant have a tool box without screwdrivers. There are a few things to use them on. I was going to use some normal sized ones with red handles but they were too big to fit anywhere well. but the stubby ones will work. I might see iv got some with wood handles

Dude, when I win the lottery, I'm gonna hire you as my "project manager ". I am gonna want around 6 of these. 6 mini jeeps... 6.... Uhhh.... What us do you build? :lolgoku:
Your work is amazing and is inspirational. I see what you've done, and it makes me want to "put more of me" into my projects. Your work is worthy of a display in a museum or something of that nature.... That's no bull! It's the attention to detail that just puts them over the top..... :thumbsup:
And don't worry..... When I DO win the lottery, I won't make you move. We shall commute on my private jet.... :thumbsup::cornut:

Thanks Jim Inspireing people to do more of their own work is why I like to share. It just takes motivation, time and a little practice. The more work you put in the more you get out. The quality of my progects certainly has gotten better in the last few years that I have more time and mental power to put in. And i dont waste my energy on junk. Though I suppose its easier said than done

Iv been working on building a trailer for the tank. Its all from scratch with scraps i had laying around. The only stuff I bought for it was the leaf springs and cairage bolts for the wood. Its been alot of work but its going great. So I made it tilting so it doesnt need ramps. the deck is 3 piece with plywood center and 2x4s where the treads go. The fenders I made from one larger fender i sliced and diced them into two smaller teardrop fenders. I just got the lights welded on today and started painting it.
