A kart uses jacking and chassis flex to lift the inside rear tyre off the track and help cornering. Jacking can be increased by widening the front track and adjusting the front suspension geometry.

Well we got to run the kart today and learned 3 things.

1) castor has been fixed, stering is a lot better!:wai:

2) some how the toe on both wheels is messed up. About 1/4 of the wheel on both front tires isn't touching the ground.grrrr:censored:

3) clutch is better but not perfect. The problem is if I'm in neutral and shift to first my engine dies, but if I powershift to first and move around and then hold in the clutch going to second the clutch works and doesn't move the kart.... its an adjustment problem but with all the adjusting we have done it still hasn't worked correctly. Any thoughts?

If the engine's been sitting for a while, the plates may be stuck together; a bit of driving usually separates them, otherwise, you may need to pull the whole assemby apart

It looks to be about 4 to 1 (48 on axle, 12 on engine) iirc. I can check tomorrow and PM ya. I haven't really opened it up yet and I haven't really even hit the powerband so as soon as the steering is completed and a couple of other things happen ill be racing around the school like its my job:lolgoku::wai:

No sprocket yet... Ordered a 40mm 26 tooth then found out i have a 1.25 axle.. So I spent 12 bucks on a part I can't use.. Still trying to situate wether I'm going with a 520 chain - 12 tooth and what ever rear or 428 chain - 17tooth and 26 rear

please keep updating this. I am planning on building a frame almost identical to yours and putting a 92 rm125 engine on it.

Yeah I will. I haven't really done anything major lately but I should probably do an update soon!
Gearing looks way too low by the sounds of it haha.

Cool concept though

Thanks. The gearing is probably a little screwy but at this point its good for tests and does get me some good speed.
