What is a good paint stripper?? Is "Citristrip" a good one?? Workin on a gokart right now was originally yellow then got painted orange then black then blue Rolling Eyes plan on painting black don't know what kind of black- gloss, matte, semi-gloss, satin, don't know yet. I'll post pics in a little bit. I've put tires and crap on needs some work- welding, nuts,washers,and bolts, paint job, engine, torque converter, chain, throttle cable, custom seat mounting bracket since seat was too big for the stock bolt holes, engine plate. Want to figure out how to put lights on it and going to take out governor as well as a air filter/jet upgrade kit, going to put on some 22lb valve springs since its going to be running at around 5200 rpms instead on 3600 stock. Let me know that you think.

Would it be possible to enter this in the 2020 build off and The ratchet straps and screwdrivers are there to hold everything together as a mock up until i can get nuts and bolts. And that big ole piece of metal pipe is going to be the exhaust Lmao this things going to be loud

I'll post it when I get some time tomorrow Ima be working on it a lot this weekend getting seat mounting frame welded at school by the welding teacher, and if i were to take out the governor outof a predator 212 hemi(which I plan on doing hopefully) should i get 22lb valve springs or.... what should I do??

if you put in 22lb valve springs you need a billet conrod

Leave the stock valve springs in until you can get a billet connecting rod AND a billet flywheel. Then 18 lb springs will yield around 6500 RPM.
Without billet parts, you risk turning your engine into a grenade, essentially.
Keep in mind, that the heavier the valve springs are, it can rev higher, but it also robs power since the engine has to open those valves. It's best to get billet parts, then a meaty cam and appropriate valve springs, which will be specified on the cam spec card.

LOL, no, I'm afraid not..

4.92:1 isn't going to work at all (you'll need around 7.1:1 with wheels that big)

and if that would have worked the speed is incorrect too..
the top speed would've been 48mph for 3600rpms and almost 70 for 5200 (tcs are not clutches)
but fear not.. you don't have the power to hit 60mph.. much less the torque needed to get there

I only weigh about 128lbs and my go kart weighs about 220lbs... so that will end up around 348lbs not 485lbs so plug the weight in if you can do so and see what it says.

two seater kart.. so it must be able to carry two people..
(what use is a two seater if the instant your friend hops in the belt fails and the kart bogs down?)

the kart originally came with 6.7:1 (60:9 to be precise) and a series 30 TC.
on 18" wheels.. not twenty
and that overall ratio you will need to maintain..

but sure.. if you insist 400 lbs then (the limit for the original gear ratio [chain AND wheels that is])
minimum required gear ratio for 20" wheels and an added horse (it came with a 5hp enigne originally)
is 6.5:1 (WITH a series 30 TC!!)
@3600 that'd be 36.6mph
@5200 rpm 52.9mph

with just a clutch you need a 13.3:1 ratio (23.3 mph @5200)

and yes.. with 160kg (352lbs)
you still need 12.4:1 gear ratio with a clutch (~25mph @5200)
or 6.2:1 with a series 30 (~55.5mph @5200)

still far from 4.92:1

I don't know why tbh..

get a proper gear ratio installed and you'll have a kart with a ton of fun to be had.

you couldn't go 70mph anyways.. not with a predator 212
(well not without spending round about $2000 on mods that is)
