Yeah im pretty sure it needs an air filter it looked BAD when i was looking at the air fillter plus when i had the idle screw to far out gas was coming out where the air filter was! It doesnt know but i will definatly get a new air filter. I dont think the guy ever changed the air filter! I'll show you it when i get back outside.

Okay well now it wont start and if it does start pressing on the gas pedal kills the engine. If its not one thing it's another lol.

Also check for slack in the throttle cable/linkages; have someone slowly depress the pedal while you watch the throttle mech on the engine to see if it's reacting correctly...

What did you change?

Yeah the throttle cable has slack. I use a mop handle to press the gas pedal myself lol. Nothing i moved the idle screw very slightly then moved it back where it was. Also im thinking the gas pedal barrings need oil because now the gas pedal gets stuck all the way down. Also i so need to drain out the oil. It's like the dude never ever even put new oil. All he probably did was mess with the motor went riding with gross looking oil and a dirty filter.

Ok well, that's why it takes so long to react, remove the slack & it'll react quicker &, probably, rev higher...

So, this is your throttle setup

There's a LOT of slack there, that needs to disappear; I'm sure this is not the correct setup but, I'm not sure what is the correct setup (shouldn't there be a bracket there somewhere?); maybe, if you loosen the set screw holding the cable, you can drag it through, then retighten the set screw...

So, you didn't remove the air filter yet?

Also im thinking the gas pedal barrings need oil because now the gas pedal gets stuck all the way down.

Ok, you may wanna do that first... Just put a few drops of oil where the two surfaces meet & work the pedal back & forth until it loosens up...

I removed the air filter and it wouldn't even start till i put it back on. Oh okay. Do i have to cut off all those red things off the cable?

FYI: There's an "Edit" button in the lower right of your posts ;)

That's not what you said previously :lolgoku: That changes everything...

The air filter is designed to restrict air entering the engine, the dirtier it gets, the more air it restricts &, in most cases, the carb settings are adjusted to suit...

When you remove the air filter, you remove the restriction, hence, more air is allowed to enter the engine which drastically alters the air/fuel mixture; lot's more but no more fuel = a severely lean condition & the engine will not run; even when you refit the clogged air filter, the engine still needs to recover from not having enough fuel to run so, prime it a few times &/or try starting it with the choke on...

I got all that slack off. Runs fine now. Greased up the bolts for both pedals and the steering because it squeeked way to much. Now all i have to do is put clean oil and buy a bew air filter and wait for my older brother to come home to re-bend the part i bent up and i'll be riding it again:) I know what site to come to now if i ever need anymore help:) Thanks for your help.
