Your thinking solid strap. No I'm talking braided copper, like under the hood of your car. Engine block to firewall...

Its all about how the crank counter weights throw. For example if you have a video game at home with vibrating controllers allow it to vibrate loosly in your hand and then hold in firmly. You will hear and feel the difference. I dont know Kibble where those his exact words?

That makes sense, I've made tons of small rc cars and gadgets with little electric motors, and i have noticed that the off balance motors spin faster when they are held tightly, i guess i just never linked that with a large engine. Luckily i was too lazy to put rubber on my motor mounts

yeh dont put rubber under it, u dont want the engine to move at all and with the rubber is will be able to move a lot. NOT GOOD! Especially when u got the chain hooked up, u dont want the engine going back and forth, might screw with ur chain.

i will experiment with and without rubber blocks on the mount, not as a condom(kaptain krunch).
today i linked up the throttle and brake pedal. i am now thinking about a seat, helmet and harness. would this or this harness work with a tillet bucket seat? also does this helmet look suitable?

to be done:
attach throttle outer cable to kart
buy a tillet bucket seat, or similar
drill holes for mounting.
remove everything.
paint
mount everything, including a harness. does this harness look ok???
buy helmet (do you think this one look suitable???)
go have a test run!!!
