engine won't start

I think its grounding out on the wire that hooks into the killswitch. It has that metal connector or its the white wire.

OMFG!!!!! i disconnected the killswitch, put on the cover and no spark. SOMETHING IS UP WITH THAT COVER!!!!

Check if its grounding out on the coil, it really shouldnt be this hard. Wrap any contact points on your coil in electrical tape AFTER Its bolted to the block.

Try insulating the coil from the cover and the cover from the block.

is it possible that the magneto is put on backwards, when i turn it clockwise, there is no spark. If i turn it counterclockwise however, it sparks

hmm, the motor is suppose to turn clockwise, but would only spark if i turn it counterclockwise. when i turn it clockwise, i get no spark

It should spark both ways as long as the magnet passes by the pick ups...

when u get an engine always check for the basics fuel delivery, ignition and compression this does not include removing the head
