engine won't start

my engine wouldnt start because of the coil. you can check it with an electrical tester.

hey boss, try touching something not painted. did you check to see if the kill wire is touching the blower shroud? check your plug wire where the case fits, the insulation could be bad, you may be able to run some electrical tape as a substitute insulator

when the cover is on and the spark plug is grounded, it doesnt spark. The problem is connected to the cover somehow.

Take about 4 wraps of tape over that whole thing. It must have cut a hole into the insulation.

i found a cut in the insulation(related to problem?)

i am not sure where that wire is supposed to be, it is connected to the killswitch.

i was also wondering if i should cut the killswitch for now.

arrrrrg!!!!!!!!! still doesn't work when i put the cover back on. How can the spark problem be cover related?

Violently tape all of those wires. Where does that wire even go to..?

Obviously, something is grounding out when cover is replaced.
Are you sure plug has a good ground when you hold it against the block? Make sure it is a good clean rust free area that you hold the plug against.
Should spark by just rocking flywheel back and forth.
Could check by just checking with you finger. Will give you a jolt, but won't hurt you.

That wire going to the kill switch, unplug it, you should have spark. its probably a bad kill switch or the wire is grounding out somewhere.

it does spark when the cover is off. i have tried holding it and i did feel a jolt. when the cover is on however, it is a different story

Completely tape off the white wire. Tons of tape. Especially on the end of it. TAPE

Like i said, unplug the mother funkin kill wire, unplug it directly from the coil, then put the cover on. If it sparks then you know either your kill switch, or kill wire was grounding out when it shouldnt.
