This is a fuel issue not on oil sensor issue. 1 of 2 things

1 in tank fuel screen clogged
2 gas tank has bad ventilation (drill holes in cap)
And Thats It!

well if thats the problem i will be super excited. but the engine will stutter as well even if just at half throttle if your hitting bumps. its not as apparent because honestly who cruises half throttle for very long. it seems to happen whenever the engine is at a constant rpm.

well i drilled some holes in my cap today and that definitely did not solve my problem, so now its time to take apart the gas tank.

just for fun, check out your kill switch wires / connections / switch. see if you have a loose or bare wire, maybe a faulty switch...

kill switch isn't hooked up to anything, the retard who had the kart before me just connected the kill switch to the back of the governor linkage and nothing else :mad2: so i can hook that up this week at some point.

what about the ignition lead from the engine that it is supposed to be connected to - where is that? If it is exposed, it could be touching the engine, momentarily killing it.

the guy who had it before me just replaced the engine so he just bought the new engine slapped it on and called it a day. so the on/off switch on the side of the engine is what i'm using at the moment to turn it on/off. and im assuming the lead is just connected to the normal engine switch.

Make sure that there are no unaccounted for wires. Check to be sure that the spark plug cap is on securely as well. Can you post some pics?

just clean out the carb if there are no bare wires hanging (that was the first thing i checked), with these ****ty tecumseh carbs, dont blow it out with compressed air, just use carb cleaner. Tecumsehs are really ****ty in the first place, have you considered just replacing the engine?

i dont want to replace the engine given that it is so new and the kart body isn't worth putting anything nicer on. now i did find the lead for the kill switch and it wasn't wired to anything assuming thats my problem i'm excited. i pulled off the tank and took some pictures and im going to put it back together later today or tommorow.

start your engine and then touch that green wire to a good ground point on the engine and see if it kills it, if so, attach your remote kill switch wire to that green wire and be sure to tape it up real well.

since you have the tank off, put a fuel filter on the fuel line

yea i got a fuel filter on it now, for the kill switch i just got a screw and screwed it to the black square behind it. the black square is rubber so it is plenty insulated. i took the carb off and i wanted to watch the video one more time before i take it apart. and then i can reassemble everything and see if any of my labors were worth it.

that screw should hold the green wire to the black kill wire, but test it out first as I described above

now if none of this fixes my problem, does anyone think a new carb would fix it? and if so what would be the most economical carb for replacement?
