Engine cuts out?

the filter is only a week old w/ like maybe an hour of use on it. I was able to squeek a small test run in yesterday and the spring seemed to do the trick. thanks for all the help guys

My engine cuts out too!
Modified tecumseh 6.0 hp, cam, hedder, valve springs, venturi in carb honed out a little, govenor removed, etc.....It has tons of power but cuts out over bumps and stalls after releasing the gas pedal after a full speed run. It feels like it is being starved of fuel. Anyone???

well after long test run yesterday my kart has improved 10x but it still cuts out here and there so i am still messing w/ my gov spring. as for your situation six have you tried returning your carb to stock? maybe the honing messed something up? have you tried cleaning your in tank fuel screen?

Yea, it works as good as a tec could, but i have other problems (completely worn out clutch, ****ty chain). I did just buy a cheap motorcycle though so i may just slap that engine in there, im deciding if i want to fix the bike up and sell it, turn it into a dirtbike, or use it on my kart. Leaning towards the kart at the moment.
